Legitimate Questions for the President
Facebook ^ | 8/14/10 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 08/14/2010 3:12:12 PM PDT by barmag25

Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive "cross-cultural engagement" and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven't they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite? Mr. President, why aren't you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson's generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven't they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as "hallowed ground"? I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.

Islman typically constructs a mosque on any territory that is has conquered. The Dome of the Rock was constructed over the ruins of the Jewish Temple just to show that Islam is superior. I only recall how Muslims were dancing in the streets all over the Islamic world when the towers came down.

These are very good questions to ask, Sarah.

I can just imagine what the liberal response to this latest Facebook from Sarah will be. They tend to pick apart and denigrate everything else she says. Can’t wait for the “spin” the liberals will put on this. And the spin they put on Obama’s comments. First he says everyone has religious freedom, yadda, yadda, yadda. Then he says he wasn’t commenting on the wisdom of putting a mosque there.

We’re all ears if Obama wants to tell us what he thinks of the wisdom of building a mosque at Ground Zero. It’s interesting that in backtracking, he said he wasn’t commenting on the wisdom of building there, without detailing what his opinion of them building there is.

The usual business of a politician being “misunderstood” or “taken out of context”. Can’t wait to see how the liberals spin all of this.

Whack!

Building that mosque over Ground Zero is the same as hoisting the “Rising Sun” over the wreck of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor.

I thought it would be interesting to read the Arab newspapers and their take on this issue? Here is one:

Hope at Ground Zero (AL-AHRAM Weekly) Opinion

...Having failed to block the project, the neocons are venting their ire on Muslims. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (remember her?) has gone on Twitter to ask “peaceful Muslims” to “repudiate the mosque”, because it “stabs hearts”. Conservative pundit and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich says no mosque can be built near Ground Zero as long there are no churches and synagogues in Saudi Arabia.

A former New York mayor and another frustrated presidential hopeful terms Cordoba House a “desecration” and an insult to the victims of 9/11 attacks. A Florida church has given the call for “burn a Quran day” to protest the “Ground Zero mosque”.

As these instances of Islamophobia grow across America, fuelled by preachers of sweetness and light such as Pat Robertson and Ann Coulter, and TV networks like Fox News, some wonder if Cordoba House is such a good idea. Given the rancour and acidic bitterness the issue has already generated, which is being exploited by Muslim bashers, some think the promoters should just call off the whole thing. It now seems to defeat the very object of the project.

They’re probably right. Islam believes that the whole earth is a mosque for believers...

Right on Dilbert! What you said, BTTT.

We’re all ears if Obama wants to tell us what he thinks of the wisdom of building a mosque at Ground Zero.

LOL. Muslim outreach is his thing, and he said what he said and there's no dancing back from his smug statements last night.

It's just like the trial in NYC for the terrorists. That's still a go, but we don't hear about in his government lapdog press. Too close to an election for that talk.

YOU BETCHA WHACK!

And, you’re so right - it’s the exact same thing. The Imam knows it, his followers know it and Obama knows it, and the trouble for the aforementioned is that WE know it too!

GO SARAH GO! SHE’S DONE IT AGAIN!!!!

Palin has great political instincts and keeps improving as time moves on. Another legitimate question; What did the Framers of the U.S. Constitution mean by the term “natural born citizen” when they wrote it as a requirement to serve as President? Every Freeper should be asking this question of any politician they get a hold of(believe me I’m trying myself).

Sorry, Gov. Palin.

She laid it right into the groin.

Palin knows how this is playing in Michigan, Peoria, and Western Pennsylvania.

The White House, thanks be to God, has taken leave of its senses.

Nobody is in favor of repealing the First Amendment. However, nobody is in favor of shouting “fire” in a crowded theater, either.

Best,

Chris

The USA is only 3,917,000 square miles (according to WolframAlpha). Its an innocent coincidence that it will be built in the planned location. What are the odds?
