A federal judge yesterday threw out a lawsuit by Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher - the northwestern Ohio man immortalized as "Joe the Plumber" in the 2008 presidential campaign - alleging that three high-ranking state bureaucrats violated his privacy by running his name through confidential databases.
U.S. District Court Judge Algenon L. Marbley said Wurzelbacher could not show that he had been harmed by the snooping.
Three top managers of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services ran database checks of Wurzelbacher, who briefly vaulted to fame in October 2008 when he confronted then-candidate Barack Obama about the effects of his tax policies on Wurzelbacher's Toledo-area plumbing business. He then teamed up with Obama's opponent, Sen. John McCain, at several campaign events and was mentioned several times by McCain in the campaign's final debate.

Another Clinton apointee. Suprise...Suprise..Suprise!
I’ll have to figure this out later, after I’ve had some coffee.
But the left says that telling a woman that she cannot murder an unborn baby is a violation of her privacy (though it causes her no harm).
Then they turn around and say that people who have access to confidential information and who violate that trust for purely political reasons is NOT a violation of privacy BECAUSE it causes no harm.
Maybe I’ll be able to unravel this so that the left and the democRats appear as something more than power-mad mongrels whose singular goal is to become despots.
It’s only a violation of law when republicans do it.
So leaking is good if you’re a plumber?.............
eggzackly- no harm ,no foul...just show your AFSME union card.
All the little lefties are happy. They just got permission to break the law and violate normal people’s privacy. normal person.
This is what happens when a normal person becomes a threat to the left’s stranglehold on power. Little lefties everywhere go into action. They don’t need anyone to tell them what to do. They know. The little leftie at the motor vehicles knows that she should do her duty and sneak a look at private files. The little leftie at the tax office gets it right away - his job is to log on to the system and find things about the normal person and call a reporter. The little leftie in the police station knows her duty - look through arrest files and get something on the normal person.
Election matter and equal justice is lost in America.
Can’t touch the ruling class.
So when do people get to have access to Obama’s “confidential” files? I’d like to have a look at quite a bit of records regarding him. Such as birth, financial aid, school, selective service etc etc....
THIS IS A TRAVESTY!
How could a judge find he wasn’t harmed because pulled himself up from his own bootstraps?!!!
With the Prop 8 decision in CA and this... it must be DumbAssed Judge Week!
“...power-mad mongrels whose singular goal is to become despots...”
Not to mention visceral, insane, adolescent, tyrannical scu*bags.
IMHO
some already accessed his records...awaiting trial when this article was written...
Two important aspects of any civil case is a) fault and b) $$ value of damage done.
If a doctor fails to diagnose pneumonia in a 92 year old bed-ridden, demented person, and that person dies from it - is there malpractice?
Probably, but when it comes to figuring damages, there will probably be little to no monetary award. Why? Because the elderly person had little expectation of earnings or actual loss of quality of life. Most lawyers wouldn’t even take this case for this reason.
Not sayin’ its right - but it’s just the way it is.
Me, I’d go after the “officials” on State rules violations and try to get them fired.
Every thing in the news is sue them, sue everybody. Appeal this and appeal that. Taxpayer funded lawyers are a BIG cancer on this Republic. ie who's paying for the WH AZ lawsuit? Taxpayers. And now the goofs sit in DC passing laws with 2500 pages. Maybe it's just time to say screw the laws. There aren't enough prisons to house everyone.
The nazis next door.
And we are left with the question of the Obamaloon’s quest for privacy of all his records...and of course...libs think that’s OK.
Oops! Did I mess up? (Face turning red)
At least I don’t love salami. LOL
