Pres. Obama: 'GOP Lacks Faith in the American People'
Fox Nation ^ | July 19, 2010 | Staff

President Obama Monday called on Congress to pass an extension of benefits for out-of-work Americans, accusing Senate Republicans of a "lack of faith in the American people" for repeatedly blocking passage of a bill.

After introducing three Americans whose benefits are expiring, the president complained that "after years of championing policies that turned a record surplus into a massive deficit," Republicans "who didn't have any problems spending hundreds of billions of dollars on tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans are now saying we shouldn't offer relief to middle-class Americans like Jim or Leslie or Denise who really need help."

Mr. Obama complained that "a partisan minority in the Senate has used parliamentary maneuvers" to block a vote three times, "denying millions of people who are out of work much-needed relief." Republican Senate leaders, he said, "are advancing a misguided notion that emergency relief somehow discourages people from looking for a job should talk to these folks."

No, it's just that the GOP in representing America lacks faith in a foreign-born, Socialist/Communist, America-hating interloper.

Obama is such an eel. Who is it who wants to regulate every bit of our lives because he doesn’t trust free enterprise?

It galls me!

How can a wanna be DICTATOR, accuse the GOP of “not having faith in the Amreican people”, when HE wants to set up a nanny state and regulate every move and decision we make? It’s so galling!

Sure. That's why Democrats socialized medicine, because they do have faith in the American people. That's why Democrats will jail you if you refuse to purchase health care insurance, because they have faith in the American people.

Doesn’t Hussein have enough Democrat votes to pass whatever he wants?

bested this! Do you think this is the best?

‘The question is,’ said Humpty Dumpty, ‘which is to be master – that’s all.’

Mr. Obama complained that "a partisan minority in the Senate has used parliamentary maneuvers" to block a vote three times, "denying millions of people who are out of work much-needed relief."

I had this thrown up to me today and I explained that the republicans didn't have enough votes to block anything, and therefore some democrats had to have come over to the dark side for this not to pass.

The lib in question didn't like that answer at all.

I don’t get this, if the “Republicans could stop legislation” then they could have stopped Obama Care. Nothing can stop these jerks, they just want Republicans to vote for it so they too can be blamed for the economic disaster ahead.

There were no 'surpluses', the deficit was back before Bush ever signed a budget, the Republicans aren't blocking unemployment benefits the Democrats are blocking a bill that actually pays for the unemployment benefits. But for the Democrats' insistence on passing a bill with no money to pay for it, it would have already passed.

President Obama continues his neverending problems with telling the truth.

We need to pass a bill to give the government more control to prove we have faith IN THE PEOPLE?!

Does he even try to make sense?
