My post is off topic...but man did I have a thought...

This week Obama was implicated in testimony by a Union Boss, for trying to sell his own Senate seat, and he wanted Valerie Jarrett.....I’m thinking Obama is colluding with Bill Clinton on how to get out of this!! As in avoid impeachment!??

Thoughts?

LOL he did help Bush get elected. None of us knew the evil that was lurking with this current group in office.

FWIW, it was probably Bush himself who asked Rove to ignore the “friendly fire.” Bush had no problems kicking arse in Gitmo (like pouring water over a handkerchief on a Slammie terrorist’s face, or banging the terrorist head on a hollow flexible plastic wall), but doing it in Washington to treasonous Americans apparently offended his sensibilities.

This episode could not have occurred without the willing help of the press. The Democrats could not have sustained the big lie without their assistance.

Or, Rove is just publicly taking the fall for his boss. It would have showed in Bush’s demeanor if this was against his will.

Good things come to those who wait. Right now, Ted Kennedy is rotting in hell. That's a good thing...and I waited a loooooooong time.

BTW, where's John Edwards these day? Rotting in his own little hell I think.

It started with H. W. Bush, and his "kinder, gentler," followed by W's "Compassionate Conservatism."

Make me Barf!

Conservatism IS compassionate by nature, we don't need no stinkin' modifier.

Reminds me when Al Gore "complemented" Jack Kemp during a debate for not being one of "them" conservatives, and Kemp "thanked" Gore. We started going downhill from there.

It’s a Chocolate Martini. It encompasses ALL of the necessary Food Pyramid groups in one lovely, chocolately slurp. *SMILE*

Well, it covers MY Food Pyramid, anyway. Chocolate and a little bit of hooch on a daily basis never hurt anyone, LOL!

At the time, we in the Bush White House discussed responding but decided not to relitigate the past. That was wrong and my mistake: I should have insisted to the president that this was a dagger aimed at his administration's heart.

It's not like you didn't have fifty milliom Americans SCREAMING at you to DO SOMETHING you slimy insipid sh*t-eating moron. NOW, you figure out that, Oh, it was a mistake.

relitigate the past...

The past?? If Karl Rove was anything more than a slimy mealworm he would blow his f**king head off out of disgrace for what he did to this nation.

Bill is his go-to guy when he’s in trouble. Could be. Hard to believe he would trust Bill and Hill but stranger things are happening.

You’re right,Karl. We should have fought back. We are STILL fending off these attacks. And trust me, we can’t make that mistake again. The Left has had the power for 4 years now and it has been an unmitigated disaster.

The best defense is a good offense. And we are fighting for our lives.

Millions of us had 20/20 vision at the time. Rove didn't. We don't need anything this pusillanimous failure has to sell.

LOL! I hate to see my fellow conservatives sit on the fence like that. You need to decide how you feel about this subject.

Without a doubt, the biggest failing of the Bush Administration was their lack of a spine in fighting back and failure to communicate the truth. They forfeited their credibility to the most unworthy, pathetic, losers in our country. Living in S. Florida it seemed that a week did not go by in 2004 that I didn’t hear that insufferable Lurch come down here spouting his crap in my neighborhood and nearly winning the presidency. Bush’s lack of response diminished the standing of all who defended him and the Iraq War and Bush’s strong hand against the UN and all the lying Anti-Americans in our Congress.

The only mishandled issue that even comes close to matching the Bush Lied scam was the Administration’s lack of response to the Oil for Food Scandal. Again, this was a fastball down the middle that the Administration should have hit out of the park to fully expose the UN corruption and their Leftist support in this country. This would have reconfirmed justification for taking out Saddam AND the UN criminals, starting with corrupt Kofi and his band of thieves. He would have restored the Left to their proper place of insignificance and made it a lot easier to win the war and save our soldiers’ lives. Instead the Bush Administration struck out on this one. I defended Bush and still do on Iraq, but he was very derelict in defending and communicating the justification for our actions.

I believe this shows a mutual passivity between Bush and Rove. Bush didn’t ask, and Rove didn’t tell.

Bush decided he didn’t want to put Russia on the spot by highlighting their role in dismantalling the factory in Iraq and hiding the material in Syria.

Big Mistake!

There’s no downside on showing the world the evil Russia is capable of!

He’s right, but it’s a little too late.

I could not at the time believe they let the Dems get away with the “Bush lied, people died” nonsense. Everyone, Rs and Ds alike, had the same intel and they publicly made similar statements about the likelihood Saddam possessed WMD. We all “knew” it was true, there was not one voice of disagreement. Then the pulled this stunt and Rove et al let them get away with it.

Shame on them all.
