CHICAGO -- With the city's gun ban certain to be overturned, Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday introduced what city officials say is the strictest handgun ordinance in the United States.
The measure, which draws from ordinances around the country, would ban gun shops in Chicago and prohibit gun owners from stepping outside their homes, even onto their porches or garages, with a handgun.

The liberals have no problems creating broad or narrow guidelines when they establish a new "right", it's too bad the conservatives to respond in kind when asserting this very old right.
This is the MO of local government tyrants. Create an unconstitutional law and then use taxpayer dollars to make opponents burn up their own funds in court to gain what should be inalienable rights.

Over 50 people were shot over the Father’s Day weekend in Chicago. All the gangs and criminals have guns and there is no attempt to take them away.
The Democrats want to prevent law abiding citizens from being able to defend themselves. They let criminals have all the guns they want. Street criminals are the base of the Democrat Party. They just want the good people to be defenseless or dead.
Quit going after gun violence and go after the gangs that are using the guns for violence.
