Déjà Newt

President Obama's approval rating has fallen to 45%, below the 46% that Bill Clinton recorded just before his party's disastrous 1994 election.

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll continues an unbroken string of bad news for Democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections. President Obama's approval rating has fallen to 45%, below the 46% that Bill Clinton recorded just before his party's disastrous 1994 election. Only a third of the country believes the economy will improve in the next year and Republicans continue to hold a lead in generic ballot tests and in the 70 or so House races that are competitive between the two parties.

All this leads Charlie Cook, the Beltway's most respected analyst of individual House and Senate races, to conclude that "nothing we've seen in the last year has changed the basic narrative that the country is very upset with incumbents -- and that means the Democrats who are in charge." He flatly predicts "the House is gone," meaning Democrats are likely to lose more than 39 seats and hand control over to the Republicans. Mr. Cook still believes Democrats will hold the Senate with perhaps a four-to-seven seat loss.

It is beyond my how they can find 45% who still like him, or think he’s doing a good job.

They just look for those who ride fixed gear bikes, have their pants low to the ground and who’ve never had a real job before in their life.

That and there’s somewhat of a Bradley effect going on.

This is when the liberals really go wild and do all kinds of stupid things that only make it worse for them.

Their "cure" is always worse than the "disease".

I’d say it’s more than a third of the country that says we are in trouble. My son says his company is considering a measly 25 cent pay raise. Reminds me of the 5 and 10 cent raises we had under the Peanut Farmer.

And of course we seniors and retired Military are not getting COLA raises again next year. But we are getting HIGHER TAXES at state, county, and federal level.
