I did not watch the speech cause I cancelled TV and the Islamo-marxist usurper sickens me.

How bad was the speech? Nightmarish? Like the Jimmy Carter malaise sweater speech?

It's the independents that matter:

12% Strongly Approve and 52% Strongly Disapprove.

That's a -40 rating with independents. I don't think he can recover from that kind of rejection among independents.

Well the things I am seeing is the Cap and Tax is even more dead this AM. Obozo really screwed the pooch with that garbage last night. He came off as an opportunist pantywaist still whining about Bush. I think Axelrod\Rahn and company are waiting it out over the Summer for the oil thing to work itself out and off the evening news, as Kim Kardashian and Kendra Wilkenson sex tape updates or American Idol will once again put the drones to sleep. The Senate has 0 motivation to take this up now. He is a doofus and showing how politically tone deaf he is. He lost the pasty white middle managers class, through their unemployment and their waning white guilt. Without the suburbs their just aren’t enough,, Blacks, college students and gays to get him re-elected. He is about to get more strident and desperate. Look out fun times ahead, watch him go on vacation to Martha's Vineyard to rub your nose in it.

Here is all polling on W, the 43rd.

http://www.hist.umn.edu/~ruggles/Approval.htm

W didn’t reach the 45% approval numbers until 2005.

Look for it to dive a few more points by the end of the week, since his speech bombed big time.

long way to go before Nov 12, obviously...but...I am starting to believe that, also.

(I sure hope ‘the hole’ is plugged before that, though...this is really very depresssing)

From the Rasmussen article:

“Overall, 42% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. That’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-seven percent (57%) now disapprove. Those are the lowest ratings yet recorded for this president. The president’s approval rating has held steady in the 46% - 47% range for six months and it remains to be seen whether this new low is merely statistical noise or the start of a lasting change.”

“while 75% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove.”

Darn, 25% is a lot of RINO’s.

That 24% mostly consists of certified koolaid drinkers who wouldn’t care if Obama was Joseph Stalin incarnate.

We can only hope the Kenyan King makes another speech to drive it down more.

If he goes golfing and gives us the finger it would go up.

A certain President comes to mind when I read this.

HOW TO SELL TOOTHBRUSHES

The kids filed back into class Monday morning. They were very excited.

Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on productive salesmanship.

Little Sally led off: “I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30,” she said proudly, “My sales approach was to appeal to the customer’s civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success.”

“Very good,” said the teacher.

Little Jenny was next:

“I sold magazines,” she said, “I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events.”

“Very good, Jenny,” said the teacher..

Eventually, it was Little Johnny’s turn.

The teacher held her breath ...

Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full
of cash on the teacher’s desk. “$2,467,” he said.

“$2,467!” cried the teacher, “What in the world were you selling?”

“Toothbrushes,” said Little Johnny.

“Toothbrushes!” echoed the teacher, “How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?”

“I found the busiest corner in town,” said Little Johnny, “I set up a Dip & Chip stand and gave everybody who walked by a free sample.”

They all said the same thing, “Hey, this tastes like dog shit!”

Then I would say, “It is dog shit. Wanna buy a toothbrush?”

“I used the governmental approach of giving you something sh*tty for free, and then making you pay to get the sh*tty taste out of your mouth.”

I noted that Frank Luntz had a group on last night and two of the three people still standing up for Obama were the blacks. The other one looked like a cross between hippy and recent college grad....which explains a lot.
