Still Blaming Bush? It’s All George W. Bush’s Fault!
Humanevents.com ^ | 5/31/2010 | by Brian Darling

Posted on 05/31/2010 2:02:43 AM PDT by JohnHuang2

President Obama and his leftist pals ought to start taking responsibility for the shortcomings of their extreme ideology. The left’s knee-jerk reaction: Blame former President George W. Bush for anything that goes wrong, seems to have no bounds. Bush has been saddled with everything from a bad economy to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Continues...

To stem the Gulf oil gusher and clean up the mess, Obama has been mustering all the incompetence his entire administration could manage under the circumstances. His biggest achievement thus far is watching this drag out for over a month before realizing Bush isn't getting blamed.

Beginning with his news conference last week, Obama has wanted everybody to realize all the hard work he's put into his failed response to the leak, and that not a day goes by on the golf course that he doesn't think about the Gulf Coast. Obama -- ready from Day 38!

Eager to let Americans know he's on top of the situation, Obama put energy czar Carol Browner on TV Sunday to reassure Americans that this is "the biggest environmental disaster" in American history. Obama makes history again! I'm swelling with pride now.

After eventually being briefed that BP's "Top Kill" effort had failed, Obama released a statement from his vacation spot in Chicago saying that he was 'enraged' and brokenhearted. The "Top Kill" procedure consisted of pumping heavy drilling mud into the damaged well, followed by a "junk shot" of golf balls, rope, tires and Obama's campaign promises.

In his statement, Obama added boldly that "we will not relent until this leak is contained," and the tar balls are defeated. We shall fight them on the beaches, we shall fight them on the marshes with photo-ops and environmental impact assessments! Better to fight them in our wetlands than out in the sandy barrier islands.

A day after issuing his statement, as if to emphasize he's not taking matters lying down, Obama was off to the gym for another workout.

Obama's incompetence has become so obvious that even Colin Powell has noticed it, forgetting that he endorsed him. Going out on a limb, Powell said Sunday that Obama was slow to respond. Obama insists that, from the very beginning, he's been "in charge" of this disaster -- referring to the oil leak, not his presidency. Appearing on ABC's The Week, Powell, who was slow to respond to Obama's slow response, suggested ways Obama could appear less inept, such as giving "the comprehensive speech he gave the other day" a few weeks earlier than he did. This is timely advice.

Even Adm. Thad Allen, who's overseeing the government's non-response, responded to Ken ("boot on their neck") Salazar's remark that BP should be pushed "out of the way" with: "To replace them with what?" Obama? Janet Napolitano? Oil rig expert Rahm Emanuel? Kenito Mussolini Salazar? It requires some degree of managerial competence but these chaps don't do competence -- just symbolism, such as Obama showcasing Janet Napolitano as proof he's been handling the oil leak manfully.

The ever-shrinking ranks of Obama defenders still insist that this is not Obama's Katrina. Obama can't even handle an oil leak, much less show the crisis management smarts to deal with the wrath and aftermath of the levee-breaching wind and wave mega-monster with the 27-foot storm surge. Five weeks into this, Obama's just figuring out no "bi-partisan commission" or speech or press release can plug a hole at the bottom of the Gulf or clean up the mess. His peculiar fetish for dialogue isn't a good bet either since that broken riser pipe may be open but not to dialogue. Bring back Bush and Cheney.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Oh, come now! President Bush was blamed for hiring an incompetent FEMA administrator who was slow in dealing with a lackadaisical, incompetent and thoroughly corrupt state government inadequately prepared for a predictable hurricane. Mr. Obama is being blamed for — what? Dorking and shucking & jiving around for over a month before addressing a horrendous “man-made disaster” caused by pseudo-environmental policies he and his fellow travelers promoted? President Bush looks like a flippin’ Einstein next to this clown!

One thing I do blame Bush for and that is he may be the reason we now have Obama.

BP was allowed to drill without the in other places mandatory safety precautions - it was the Bush government that actively eased the safety regulations to increase the financial effectiveness of their families assets. Also the Bush team has brilliant contact to the wahabitic clans in saudi arabia - the guys who financed 9/11 AND got the ammounts of oil that influence the price worldwide.

BP - as an example - has made 6 billion EBIT last year - and that was a year with nearly 30% less demand for oil products in some industrial states. They will not even blink when they get sued and lose like could be expected in worst case (from their point of view).

Is anybody unaware of who owns american presidents ? (No matter of flavour and colour ?)

Putin is doing a far better job in controlling his oil billionairs.

So - good news - big oil is well

"One thing I do blame Bush for and that is he may be the reason we now have Obama."

Sorry, but that belongs to two people.
1. THE HILDABEAST & HER LOW LIFE HUSBAND.
2. RINO McLame.

"W" had very little to do with it. However; this bunch of community organizers wwill blame "W" right up to his last days (The mere though of his last days bring tears of JOY)

“Has Governor Jindal gotten his requests yet?”

NO....Obama has left that decision up to the EPA. Actually, I don’t think Obama makes many decisions.

It’s common sense that the Fed should help Gov. Jindal build these sand barriers ASAP!

No, it is not Bush’s fault that Zero is president. There is a long list to go through before you can blame Bush, starting with the stupid way the GOP primaries are run, Huckabee’s refusal to get out and thereby dividing social conservative votes, McCain’s crummy campaign once he got the nomination, the news media’s refusal to cover the deficiencies in candidate Obama, conservative voters who couldn’t see the big picture and so refused to vote, idiot voters who DID vote but believed Obama was a moderate, unions who dumped tons of cash into the Obama campaign, etc. etc.

Blaming Bush for Obama is as idiotic as blaming him for this oil spill.

“Is anybody unaware of who wons american presidents?”

Of course, everyone knows, nobody can deny, that the oil companies own all those corrupt american presidents; that the oil companies are the epitome of evil and if one follows the money trail of stinking corruption it can be followed directly to the white house.

Dontcha know?

Well at least they are like a dog left alone in the butchers store...

After the oil price went sky high and the economy went to rat shit there was nothing more hasty to do then lower the oil price - by controlling the middle east, by drilling in all places at once - by bribing and pressganging the producers - all good and well - and I am not the guy driving slowly on the autobahn to safe some oil because evil guys are selling it.

But drilling equippemnt was short and sold out in no time after the big boom started - the ever happy family of US big block motor fans was chanting ‘drill baby drill’ and Big Oil and clever politicos may have asked. Yeah drill - but with what equippment ?

So the good ol guys used their contacts and asked their friends in Washington if they couldn’t be a bit more forgiving in points of bureaucracy...

And that is what you have now - a lot of oil - delivered to the house - in a rush (of a hurricane probably).

Noone in the chain EVER uttered the words “ we - or you shouldn’t compromise on modern blow off preventers - even if that means you’ll have some millions of barrels less of capa next year”

BP made 6 bill. EBIT in the worst economic year after WW2 - they and rest of that nice business have a lot to do with the prosperity of the western world.

Oil wise cheney and bush are very close with the family and that has to be true for obama also this is not as prominent.

Because to be pres. you just need one thing - money in your back. Everything else is of low priority and stinking against big oil is not what you do to win an election.

So in the end you will not get a safe oil-supply - but you will get a cheap oil supply and a good economy.

There’s only a few freepers that could complain about this outcome.

There ARE more moderate ways of running an economy though without realy getting socialist.

Perry: EPA action on permits a federal power grab By RAMIT PLUSHNICK-MASTI (AP) – 3 days ago HOUSTON — Texas Gov. Rick Perry says an EPA decision to bar the state from issuing an operating permit to a southeast Texas refinery is part of an Obama administration effort to take power away from states. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday barred Texas from issuing an operating permit to the independently owned Flint Hills Corpus Christi East Refinery, saying the state's permit violates the Clean Air Act. Instead, the EPA plans to issue the refinery a more stringent permit that it says complies with the law. Perry's office said in a statement the Clean Air Act gives permitting authority to the state. The statement said President Barack Obama's administration is making a "concerted effort to transfer power away from the states to the federal government."
