Priceless...

I really wish there was that much honesty in advertising.

Too bad Ford doesn’t make a similar commercial, basically saying “Ford hasn’t paid a single cent back to the government, because we didn’t take any bailout money, we felt that the citizens of this great country should be forced to pay for the poor decisions of a few people.”

Actually I think it simply is the truth. I didn’t see anything in that revised commercial which wasn’t a fact.

I’m not sure about other areas of the country, but our largest Ford dealer here includes that type of comment in every radio spot they do. They have a spot 2 times a week on the biggest station (50,000 watts) and they never fail to say that.

I always think good for you for reminding everyone!

GM and Chrysler are toast. The government will run them into the ground producing “green” cars that no one wants to buy and the US tax payers will subsidize the failure. Kind of like Obama’s model of the new USA, East Germany, where the government produced the infamous Trabant.

Of note are the 4 lonely logos at the end (GMC, Chevy, Buick, Cadillac). Gone are Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn.

Behold the Amtrak (NEVER turned a profit while under government management) of American auto companies. Henceforth a perpetual liability to all instead of the once-proud American asset.

Ford hasn’t paid a single cent back to the government, because we didn’t take any bailout money

Of course the Obama administration would publish everything before the comma and then demonize Ford for making a profit.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a well-funded conservative foundation that would pay for television broadcast of short material like this that actually tells the truth?
