WASHINGTON, April 23 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Friday warned that without federal immigration reform the door would be open to "misguided efforts" such as a new Arizona law that has raised questions of civil rights. Obama pressed for immigration reform at a White House Rose Garden ceremony in which 24 members of the U.S. military originally from China, Mexico, Ethiopia and other countries became American citizens.

I like the idea of charging these nerds and getting a felony conviction on the record. One would think that would disqualify the squatters from amnesty.

I’m curious as to how many of those receiving citizenship at that ceremony entered the country illegally.

excellent point; Obama’s guilt trip be damned. (He was the only one there not having the bona fides to his citizenship status)

“”But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created a dangerous and unacceptable situation.”

Above is what Governor Brewer said as she signed the bill. She used the same word: “Misguided” and threw it back in the president’s face.

But the president did do one thing right - he got rid of that lezbo that had been governor (who always vetoed similar measures) to take her to DC...and thus President Obama paved the way for this bill to become law.

Zero is upset that AZ bascially got ahead of him on this and now he can’t spin his lies the way he wanted to. As it becomes clear that more people favor the arizona laws FUBO will have a harder time passing amnesty.

Yea, and if he has his way he will be paving the road to hell. IOW paving the way for the unconstitutionality of the state bill to be declared.

We’ll see. There is a limit to how much crap states will take from the feds...and if the feds (really, the courts) go too far, they may find a new country forming sooner than later. Our patience is limited.

So if Congress doesn’t pass a full and complete amnesty for the 40 million illegals, some states might get tough on them. Is that what he’s saying? Is he a puppet, a buffoon, evil or all three?

He compares people who chose the proper legal way to citizenship to criminal border crossers?
Unfortunately people will fall for it.

Enforcing the Law is misguided. Breaking the law is good. Are we living 1984?

For year people from politicians and news media to immigrant rights groups have been doing the same thing - lumping all immigrants together. Telling us all our ancestors were immigrants. Holding up legal immigrants as example of their contributions. Calling anyone who objects to criminal border crossers “racists” and “bigoted”.
The mood of We, the People is changing. More people are seeing the danger of the problem but there are still a lot of people who want free access to our borders. People making money from it, politicians making political points and those herds of sheep who follow them.
