Probably an accurate measure of what the folks in New Hampshire think. They gave us Juan McCain, or at least the big boost he needed after his campaign had seemed dead for a time.

Republicans in other parts of the country need to learn to ignore New Hampshire results. It’s pity they don’t change this system to remove the outsized influence of two atypical states like NH and Iowa. The first primary voting day should be a cross-section of states from lib to conservative.

do the New Hampshirites remember Romney as Governor of Mass? Why else support Romney? Is the GOP on another suicide mission?

I participate in a poll about once a month. I use to click the Republican box for party but now I click on other and write in Conservative. I will not vote for a liberal Republican. Voting for John was the last straw.

If Romney wins the nomination then all bets are off and us conservatives will do what is best and leave the liberal based Republican party!

Yes. And that is what will probably happen.

But can Romney win the south? Any GOP’s won without the south?

Sure he can win the South if he is the nominee, but how well he might do in the Republican primaries would depend on the other choices.

FRiend, it is not comprehensible why anyone of honor
would support Team Romney after their vicious attacks on children
and Gov. Palin on the eve of Election2008
to throw the election.
Has Romney EVER spoke up about this? or removed those who did it?
These are about 3% of the urls. Want the rest?

"(During Election 2008) Romney presidential campaign staffers…have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters."

""(During Election 2008) Frum ... (Romney supporter called Gov. Palin’s) nomination a "huge mistake" October 13 (2008)"

Frum: "I will support (Romney) without qualm."

Frum now makes his living as the media's go-to basher of fellow Republicans”

""(During Election 2008) 80 percent of Romney's former staff was absorbed by McCain
and these individuals were responsible for what amounts
to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."

""(During Election 2008) These staffers are now out trying to finish her off
….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
... was Nicolle Wallace's husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Palin can’t win the general election. Romney probably can
—— - -
This is true only if you believe what the media is putting out. If Romney gets the nomination, conservatives stay home, Tea Party voters stay home, many Christian voters stay home, many women stay home. The election will be about dems vs repubs. We always lose those elections.

If Palin is nominated, all of those voters will turn out and bring more. The election will be about conservative issues and we win those.

“Romney = obama for 4 more years.”

Yes. It also means the end of the GOP as a national party. It will be a regional party - in the Northeast.

I really think it’s going to have to be somebody new like Brown or Palin or Demnint, Ryan etc. Mitt is old news and he just comes across a bit slick. I’d take him over Obama any day, I just want to see Obama lose so bad.

Palin 2012

“It will be a whole new ball game once Hillary sees her opening to get in and the mush-headed moderates have to decide whose primary they are going to screw up.”

That won’t happen unless BO is incapable of running.

New England is no big deal any more. Texas alone will have as many votes as (or probably more electoral votes than) all of New England put together in 2012.
