Yep. Why take the heat from global blowback when you know your “buddy” Israel is going to do what you’re too cowardly to do in the first place? When they attack, you can always claim they sprang too soon and that it was always you intention to attack, but not until you were certain sanctions wouldn’t work. After all, who could ever know what you’re saying is legit or self-serving BS?
You give Obama too much credit. After Iran fires missles at Israel and the US, Obama will make a speech that cautions us against jumping to conclusions, we need to think things through. Then he will invite Ahmadinejad to the White House for a beer (assuming of course that it is still there).
