I don’t think so; saw some other comments around that Fox was the only network reporting on the eruption’s impact from the start, and the severe impact it would have in its continuation.

Unless you are Al Gore who can’t control it either.

...but will happily assign blame for it.

It will not take that long.

The same kind of fear mongering was present right after the Mt. St. Helens eruption in Washington state three decades ago. The volcanic ash didn't seem to affect farm land or crops either way. It is pretty much inert with respect to agriculture. Life goes on.

I thought so, too. The statement was, at a minimum, dumb. This volcano has disrupted business throughout the continent and onto the rest of the world. I suppose seeing the eruption up close, then hearing a Fox talking head say it might cancel a dance performance or business meeting seemed to understand that case immeasurably.

I thought I heard on CNN that Iceland was too cold for volcanos to develop...

The acid rain from volcanic eruptions is bad for farming and livestock, but the ash itself is wonderful fertilizer.

You are exactly right! Thank you for saying that!

When I heard Obama mock God - I happened to be listening to his speech that day and heard his words - and the “Armageddon” comment - I said - and I think I posted somewhere on FR - did you hear what Obama said?

One cannot do what he did without consequences.

The Bible says this: God is not mocked.

Galatians 6: 7: Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

God’s Word is rock solid truth.

When Obama mocked God as he did, he insured his own destruction. (read the rest of the passage below).

Is the Volcanic eruption / cloud of ash / the result of Obama’s mocking of God?

Had not thought about that angle - especially since the ash cloud has covered Europe, not this country (which could have happened depending on the winds).

So not sure yet what the ash cloud is all about.

Do know we as believers are to do good to all people - ALL people - (especially to believers) - but to ALL PEOPLE.

So let us not lose heart but to continue to do as God has commanded us...And leave the rest to Him who is the Creator of this Universe and of each of us, including of Obama.

P.S. The rest of this passage is as follows: Gal 6:8-10

8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature[a]will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

That depends on what’s in this ash. It can be a short term poison. Once in Iceland’s repeatedly tragic past fluorine poisoning from a volcanic eruption killed half or more of their livestock. A fourth of the people starved as a result. Icelanders remember this, hence they’re moving their animals indoors rather than letting them graze. At least until testing proves grazing is safe. Don’t be surprised to see Iceland hitting us up for livestock feed in the near future.

Is the Volcanic eruption / cloud of ash / the result of Obama’s mocking of God?

When Obama made the comments, the fissure had already cracked open in the earth. Although active and awakened, the volcano wasn't making an international mess... yet.

So when Obama wondered where the crack was, he really didn't have a clue that God had already "been there done that". It's as if Obama set the thing off with his vile blaspheming.

21 Mar 2010:

"An Icelandic volcano, dormant for 200 years, has erupted, ripping a 1km-long fissure in a field of ice."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8578576.stm

Not to mention the actions of a UK advertising truth squad regarding the status of the Kotel. UK bans Israeli tourism ad; God bans UK tourism.

Then there was the meteor over Madison (named for James Madison, aka "Father of the Constitution"). Fireball over Madison, another party favor from Obama? Rule of Law, zotted "over Madison"?

In light of these things, the scheduled return of Discovery is... something I am compelled to pray deeply about, especially considering this chilling description (Columbia imagery):

>>>The Discovery astronauts tested the shuttle's re-entry systems Sunday and packed up for landing Monday at the Kennedy Space Center, weather permitting, to close out a space station resupply mission with a fiery dawn plunge across the heartland of America. <<<

>>>"The neat thing about the descending opportunities is it's going to come across the country and folks will get a good opportunity, hopefully, to see the orbiter as it goes overhead," Lunney said. <<<

Link

Fervent prayers for their safe return.

There are too many letters for this Renegade POTUS, should just be POS.

Thank you so much for the link - plan to be outside at least by 8:00 AM this morning to hopefully be able to see the Shuttle’s descent.

Just saw a cnbc report about how the Ash Cloud has brought a huge resurgence (as one would expect) in the Ocean Liner business!

The QE II has a 1000 passenger wait list!

Why couldn’t all those cruise ships - make their way to the UK and to Europe and start transporting stranded travelers OUT of the UK (and back into it) and same with Europe, that way???

Sort of the Dunkirk “rescue” writ large!

Yes, these ocean liners would need to proceed in an orderly manner, but surely this process could be somehow facilitated - we need those SHIPS and we need them NOW!

......”This is (was?) Iceland’s most fertile farmland”......

The fertility is being renewed to the existing volcanic soil farmland.
