10 Reasons Why Barack Obama Is the Most Naïve President in US History
The Telegraph ^ | Nile Gardiner | Nile Gardiner

In honour of this week’s cringe-inducing nuclear summit in Washington, which represents yet another step towards American decline under the current US administration, here is a list of ten key reasons why Barack Obama qualifies as the most naïve president in US history. Despite some strong competition from Woodrow Wilson and Jimmy Carter, President Obama has spectacularly blown the opposition out of the water, on almost every level, from appeasing America’s enemies abroad to building the foundations of a European-style welfare state at home. The end result is an America that is weaker, more vulnerable to attack, and mired in mountains of debt. No other president in US history has done more to undermine the original vision of America’s Founding Fathers, while replacing it with a reckless and risky agenda that threatens America’s ability to lead the free world.

1. Obama believes unilateral disarmament will achieve a nuclear-free world

The Obama administration may dream of a day when the world is free of nuclear weapons, but its lofty vision bears no relation to the realities of the modern world. Even the president of France believes that President Obama needs to live in the real world, not a virtual one, which is a rather damning indictment of US leadership. There is not a shred of evidence to suggest that Washington’s decision to cut its nuclear arsenal will encourage the likes of Iran and North Korea to disarm, and history has shown that a unilateral policy of disarmament will not prompt tyrannical regimes to change their behaviour.

2. Obama thinks evil regimes can be negotiated with

The naïve appeasement of practically every odious tyranny on the face of the earth has been a central hallmark of Barack Obama’s foreign policy. From extending the hand of friendship to

Um... excuse me, ol' chap, but, I believe it was Mr. Obama's decision...

Don’t confuse naivete with simply a Marxist who doesn’t give a crap what we think.

Naive? Hardly.

I don’t see how one can be so cynical as to lead the intentional, massive deceit, theft, destruction, and violence of this Alinsky/Cloward-Piven insurrection and be naive, as well.

Exactly. This evil bastard could care less what we think as long as he can get away with as much as he possibly can.

“He isn’t naive, take it from there.”

Exactly.

To suggest that this president is naive is to say that he is not culpable. The left and centrists continue to push this “naive” bull, but it’s smoke’n’mirrors.

You are right. I believe that the "naive" Mr. Smiley Face routine is BS and as phony as his COLB. So what does that leave? Ok, "lead the intentional, massive deceit, theft, destruction, and violence of this Alinsky/Cloward-Piven insurrection " was pretty accurate.

But to do that HERE? In the US? AND expect it to work without pizzing off a huge majority of real American Citizens?

That is to-the-bone stupid.

Not as stupid as a number of Americans voting for him.

I would not call him naive either. He has a strange Utopian vision combining environmental purity, egalitarism, class struggle, and global peace. This vision combines with arrogance to justify his vision regardless of the means and impact. Independent voters and some foreign governments (Britian and India in particular) who supported him were naive and misinformed. Some foreign governments, particularly Russia, have been gleeful about the one-sided agreements that our dear leader has made. Some foreign governments (Isreal and eastern European countries) have now realized their worst fears about our dear leader.

Basically, NOBODY is that naive, with all the advisers around a president.

The other, more likely alternative is that it's deliberate, with full cognizance of the consequences.
