Tea Party 48% Obama 44%

On major issues, 48% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is closer to their views than President Barack Obama. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 44% hold the opposite view and believe the president’s views are closer to their own.

Not surprisingly, there was a powerful split between mainstream Americans and members of the Political Class. Eighty-seven percent (87%) of those in the Political Class say their views are closer to the president. Sixty-three percent (63%) of Mainstream Americans say their views are closer to the Tea Party.

The divide is reflected in party preference. Republicans overwhelmingly feel closer to the Tea Party and most Democrats (including a majority of government employees, etc.) say that their views are more like Obama’s. The Obama Administration has created a significantly larger government and political role in the economy.

Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 50% say they’re closer to the Tea Party while 38% side with the President.

Get the details from Rasmussen Reports : Tea Party 48% Obama 44%

Imagine what these numbers would be if you subtracted out complete idiots and absolute morons! It would be closer to 99% agreeing with the Tea Partiers. Too bad an IQ score isn’t included alongside each vote.

The division is between the “Political Class” and “mainstream Americans.” I’m extremely pleased with Rasmussen for statistically defining “Political Class” and making this division apparent. Big Government is being pushed along largely by people who make their living from it. And the bigger government gets, the bigger the Political Class is. Snowball effect.

Not surprisingly, the numbers also split along the lines of the producers and the parasites. Producers want freedom, liberty and limited government. Parasites want more freebies from the Producers.

Obama gets good press and the Tea Party gets nothing but bad. What do you think the numbers would be with a fair and balanced press?

The reckoning is coming and then the Socialist overlords of the Democrat Party will REAP the Whirlwind that America delivers in the next election.

Without Tea Party being defined accurately (smaller, constitutional government, lower taxes, less government intrusion in our lives) prior to the poll, more than half of the pro-Obama 44% are probably accepting the MSM definition (racist, sexist, homophobic wingnuts) and voting accordingly.

Tells you how many people are still uninformed or deluded about what Obama really believes. We may have a whole lot of brain-dead people, but I find it real hard to believe that 44% buy into his 1960’s hard-core campus Marxism.

As the article says, the division is between “mainstream America” and the “Political Class.” Rasmussen has done a nice job of scientifically (statistically) defining the “Political Class,” and it’s well worth to everyone to add the term to their everyday vocabulary when dealing with the political divide. These include people who are literally paid by Big Government - including employees of lots of unnecessary and unnecessarily large government programs that house many more employees than we need in government - and they know it.
