Video: Unprompted Huffington attack on Giuliani fails epically

Late afternoon comedy via the ‘Busters from this a.m.’s “Morning Joe.” Rudy was on to talk about his Rubio endorsement, Arianna was on to talk about god knows what, but once she found herself in the presence of a prominent Republican, she found her purpose and went to work. The interesting thing about this is trying to figure out whether she really wanted to attack because Giuliani’s endorsement bothers her that much or whether years of being a nutroots icon simply left her feeling obliged. The HuffPo faithful would, let’s face it, be crestfallen if she declined an opportunity to speak Trooth to wingnut Power. So here we go with the kitchen sink approach, starting with Giuliani’s association with Bernie Kerik, downshifting into his lame presidential campaign, and then grasping at his — gasp — support for waterboarding, which fully 58 percent of voters supported in the case of Abdulmutallab just three months ago. What she’s trying to do, essentially, is make the case that he’s somehow not fit for mainstream American politics — which is the left’s view of all prominent Republicans, of course — but … she just can’t pull it off. And darned if Scarborough doesn’t remind her of it every step of the way.

80% of what she says is unintelligible and 100% is unintelligent.

Why is this woman ever given an opinion? Who the heck is she? I cannot figure out why she has followers!

the only thing I don’t “get” about Arianna is why anyone ever pays the slightest attention to that creature..... I don’t.

I wish someone had asked if she had dug her grave enough or if she was trying to go all the way to China.

starting with Giuliani’s association with Bernie Kerik

He should have said..Judge of Character????..I'm sorry weren't you married to a man for 11 years, who then revealed himself to be bisexual?

I could be wrong, but there seems to be a much deeper knowledge when marrying than reviewing a job applicant...but then again..thats me...

Or maybe he only discovered certain truths about himself after a decade with you....? but I digress....

I could not watch the whole thing. My head was ready to explode. No wonder her ex turned gay.

Wow, Huffington is simply oblivious - absolutely no debate skills or valuable input to the discussion at all. I am not surprised, considering the likes of her following, though.

I remember when Arianna first came on the scene, her husband Michael was running for Senator in the state of California as a republican. What I remember of that failed campaign is Arianna, she made some of the best conservative speeches that you have ever heard. Many of us said he should step aside and let her run because he seemed very weak.

He was defeated, admitted he was gay, left Arianna and the kids and we have never heard from him again, as far as I know. Next thing you know Arianna has gone left wing loon. If any of you had heard her back then you would be as baffled as me as how such a change happens to a person. Maybe a conservative husband being a closet gay had something to do with it.

That was delicious

She made a total jacka*s out of herself and gave Rudi a chance to list the terrible conditions of the NYC he took over after rule by democrats and how he turned it around.

Say what you want about Rudi - I wish to he*l he's run for the senate. I wish he had run for it against hitlery the first time - He could have walked away with it and hitlery, by now, would just a grease spot in history.

Wish he's run for governor - he may not be "pure" enough for some elite conservatives, but by damn, he's a a whole lot better than ANY dem - and we NEED every single Republican governor we can get. They are turning out to be our front line on reigning in the feds. And Rudi has shown he doesn't back down...he doesn't bribe. (I still remember that huge check of the Saudi King's that he ripped up ;o)...)

I remember when Arianna was conservative, my dad loved her. I was so confused when I heard about the Huffington Post, I thought it was a mistake.

Does anyone other than me remember when Huffington was a staunch conservative spokesperson? Well up until her hubby was exposed.

Maybe he wasn’t gay, just wanted to get away from Arianna.

That clip, my FRiends, was a thing of beauty.

And while we're taking cheap shots.... darlin', you married a man you didn't know was gay? Or did he become gay AFTER your marriage?

... Arianna, why would such an independent woman as you continue to use the surname of your gay, ex-husband?

Mike Huffington sometimes blogs on Huffington Post.

She was covering his homosexuality while he was a politician and was rewarded handsomely for it. Remember that his daddy was a big oil man and Mike inherited something like a billion dollars.

She's a fraud, and Mike Huffington was a shitty congressman from San Luis Obispo. We had a hell of a hard time getting him to vote the NRA way every time some bill came up.
