Palin to RNC: Take me off fundraiser( RNC is trying to trade on her name )

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has asked the Republican National Committee to remove her name from a fundraiser the committee is planning piggybacking off of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, POLITICO has learned.

Palin’s staff has twice told the RNC to remove her name from an invitation sent to donors, obtained by POLITICO on Wednesday, showing her as an “invited” speaker to the four-day fundraiser in New Orleans, timed to coincide with the SRLC event in Louisiana.

Palin, who will appear at SRLC, “will not take part in any RNC fundraiser in New Orleans,” an aide said.

The RNC invitation touts Palin along with other SRLC speakers, including Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Fox News host Sean Hannity, Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.), as “invited speakers” for the event.

Santorum is the only speaker advertised on the invitation who is confirmed to attend the fundraiser.

Palin previously asked to be removed from a Conservative Political Action Conference invitation, which twice listed her as an invited speaker though she hadn’t agreed to attend the event.

The only Republicans confirmed to be attending the RNC event are Santorum, former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, Rep. Rodney Alexander (R-La.), Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.).

The invitation promises that “other Republican superstars” will attend the fundraiser, but does not say who those might be.

The lack of integrity the RNC keeps on showing is disgusting. What a shame when this country is in the fight for its very life.

maybe Michael Steele and the GOP has finally let her down too much....not that she was liked by the establishment of the Party much, but enough is enough.

Sarah want absolutely nothing to do with the RNC right now. She will build her own structure of influence. Sarah is working on the state and local level.

I wonder why Palin would not want her name on a RNC fundraiser?

Because all Michael Steel and his good ole boys want to do is pimp her out to raise money and when the time comes for nominations, they will exclude her our of fear.

Lets not forget all the BS Sarah went through when she was still Gov. (invite or no invite). Now Sarah can control the situation a lot better and she is.

The funny thing is Sarah has eyes everywhere.

Palin isn’t the only one saying no to RNC fund solicitations. I’ve been tossing RNC begging letters in the trash since just before the 2008 election fiasco.

If you see and like a good conservative candidate for office at any office level, send your money directly, not via the national or state party level. The RNC and most state GOPs seem stuck on loser RINO candidates.
