He should make the whole episode into a comedy routine.

And he shouldn’t show up for the proceeding. Make them arrest him.

Canadians don’t have a right to free speech, do they?

I think he should seek asylum in the US.

Seriously. Why not?

I'm actually surprised that Obama hasn't proposed a “Human Right’s Tribunal” for the United States yet, maybe he's saving it for his (god forbid) second term. From what I understand about Canada's Human Rights Tribunal, it's basically a legal hammer that liberals can use to fine or censor anybody that disagrees with them.

The article reads like a bad 1984 clone. Tribunals to determine if they have the jurisdiction over whether something a comic said was discriminatory against a protected class of people? A protected class of people? Some are more equal, eh?

I think Earle should drag the lesbos before the Human Rights Commission. They singled him out for heckling as a protected member of a persecuted minority — comedians.

Last year the Human Rights Tribunals made the huge mistake of tangling with Mark Steyn.

NOT a good guy to get into a war of words with. They finally admitted defeat and slunk away.

But they’re still picking on people without his financial and authorial resources.

Interestingly, in Canada when a complaint is filed with HRC, the government pays for the legal expenses of the plaintiff. The defendant must pay his own.

“I have the right to be offensive,” he said. “Because they didn’t find it funny doesn’t mean they can take me to the human rights tribunal.””

I like this guy’s attitude. Too bad the law apparently *does* allow the hecklers to take him to court. Bad craziness.

Thought only Muslims had 'special rights'. . .and Leftist/Marxists. ..) over and above other Canadien citizens.)

Canada can move on; or regress to a shameful 'rights' sink hole.

And of course, Marxist/fascists are the same world-wide; so we have only to look/see where it all takes us. . .or in our case, how much bigger the sink hole can get.

These people have the 'right' to feel offended. Nothing more.

Citizens of Canada.. .speak up and speak out. (We criticize Muslims for being silent. Where are our voices when these people start knawing on our rights; in the name of the rot of freedom detroying, political correctness.)

It might be helpful if the Human Rights Tribunal specifically listed which groups and individuals may be offended and which may not. As it stands now the tribunal is able to shift its target de jour according to how the political winds are blowing.

But . . . that's the whole idea anyway.

I may have missed it, but the article did not say what he said ABOUT lesbianism that could be considered "discriminatory". It also did not report if he knew they were lesbians or not, but I guess in Canada that doesn't matter.

So you can't offend anyone, huh? What is stopping Christians from getting mooselimbs to say bad things about Christians, and then take them before the so-called "Human Rights Tribunal"?

I have the latest to some extent on the Canadian television news. The comedian Mr Earle has stayed at his home in Ontario and directed James Millar, his lawyer to appear. Now on a matter of procedure, Mr Millar asked if the question of interference in public entertainment by the Human Rights Commission was proper.

The member of the tribunal who appears to call the shots, ignored the lawyer and proceded with the case, thus refusing to rule on a key question. Millar walked out, the first case he has walked out on in thirty years practice.

So far the case has cost Mr Earle $20,000 and he does not appear to be rich. A fund has been set up for him and I hope to forward a few dollars. On a Canadian website, SDA a lady who claims to be a lesbian, has donated to his fund.

Since the two women are claiming $20,000 in damages (I am informed) one could say "follow the money". If I had been there in the club and two woman were together, it would not matter one whit to me what their sexual orientation was. I presume most of the patrons did not care either- just a noisy twosome who should have been shown the door.

Are there any rational parts of Canada? If so, maybe we can trade for some of our more pinko states.
