March 27, 2010 Israeli Tanks Roll Into Gaza After Two Soldiers Killed In Worst Clashes For 14 Months

Israeli tanks advanced into the Gaza Strip yesterday as the worst clashes in 14 months erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters.
Both sides blamed each other for triggering the violence, in which two Israeli soldiers and several Palestinians were killed.
After the initial fighting, five Israeli tanks and two armoured bulldozers advanced from the east firing shells at targets near the town of Khan Younis.
Witnesses near the scene said the sounds of gunfire abated an hour before midnight but the tanks were still in place, firing occasional rounds. Residents were fearful of a bigger Israeli incursion, and evacuation warnings were given.
The Israeli Army said earlier that an officer and a conscript were killed when Palestinian gunmen fired on an Israeli military patrol inside the strip. Two soldiers were wounded and two Palestinian fighters also died in that clash, it said.

Israel had to do this, had to send a message to counter Obama’s damaging criticism which the arab’s misinterpreted as leaving Israel weakened.

I just don't understand any of this unless it is this. American Jews and Catholics find socialism preferable to liberty. I'll bet Jews in Israel don't share the same view. And Catholics in Poland didn't see it the same way some years ago.
you are right. The result of the vote by Jews with dual citizenship in Israel was almost a mirror image to the American Jews.

I just don't get it. Obama leans to the Muslim side. As far as religion is concerned I am agnostic. So my approach is objective I think. Having said that no one can doubt that Obama's approach is Muslim or socialist. Both are religions. I expect I will receive some grief for saying this.
