The Democrats are not benefiting from this. Some staff guy who knew none of them would read the legislation is laughing his butt off.

The overwhelming majority of them have not, in fact, read any of the legislation. All the Democrats are still pumping out the talking points from last Spring regarding inquiries on the bill's text.

It is entirely possible that the Democrats are as utterly stupid as we have imagined them to be.

Frankly, we cannot let these pukes out of our sight.

We were not duped. Obama was clear from day one what he was about. The only issue is whether people were honest or not believing what so very obvious to many of us.

Exactly.

No excuse for anyone voting for him and then saying they didn't know.

He said it all - it's all on tape.

But people didn't have time to listen and learn - hey, American Idol's on!

I came to the conclusion that maobama was a radical communist based on the youtube clips that emerged wherein he said the constitution is fatally flawed because it did not accomplish economic redistribution of wealth as well as the clip on cap and trade.

Even today it infuriates me to watch some news shows and realize that I personally know far more about maobamas radical past and on record statements and positions than do these multimillionare hosts and anchors.

Too bad. As a physician, I liked the retirees who had supplemantal insurance, because I knew I’d get paid fairly for my services. Now companies will drop the extra insurance and leave the retirees with just medicare. The result? Fewer docs will take pennies on the dollar with medicare and the oldsters will have to drive a long way for their care, or stand in line, or just drop dead.

I was watching Greta Van Susteren Monday night. She listened to a guest talking about some of the evils of 0bamacare and asked where the Republicans were. They should have read the bill and told everybody. Yo, Greta, maybe the press and media, including yourself, could have helped a bit.

There was enough known as was such to defeat this insanity wo going into every detail.

Just think of the willfull ignorance of those around you who refused to see the reality of what maobamacae means.

We are living in a dangerous cult of personality where what obama says is considered more credoible than even what is writtern in these laws and what he does.

It like the twilight zone.

the tax break enacted in the 2003 Medicare Part D program as an incentive for businesses to keep their retirees out of the Medicare system

I don't know how effective that was.

My company has always forced retirees to enroll in medicare when eligible. As for Part D, our drug coverage is packaged into the health insurance so its a non issue.

But back to Medicare. My company is self insured thru BCBS which means that every insurance claim made by an employee or retiree is ultimately paid by my company with blue cross administering the claims then sending us a monthly bill.

Considering the costs of healthcare and the increasing usage by a retiree age 65 and over, there is no amount of tax incentive that can convince my company to remain the pimary payor as opposed to medicare being primary with my company's insurance secondary........

The retirees will now face government approval of what drugs are appropriate . The rationing will begin. This is intentional

I find it amazing how stupid the Progressives in the Democrat Leadership are. They all really believe people will like this plan better the more the learn about it.

I suppose that is possible, but it would be the 1st time in modern history DC created something that got MORE popular as time went by.

OK Republicans: RUN ON REPEAL!!

Great idea. 55% over likely voters in the latest Rassmussen poll say they want this monster repealed now. That number is only going to get worse for the Democrats as more and more people learn what is actually IN the bill as opposed to what they hear in the Progressive Democrats campaign bluster.

"He [Emanuel] says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those 'who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia' (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. '96)."

Ezekiel Emanuel, Rahm's brother, is head of the obamacare rationing panel. Anyone with Alzheimers and their family should be concerned. The new medicines have made a difference in this disease and quality of life.

The result? Fewer docs will take pennies on the dollar with medicare and the oldsters will have to drive a long way for their care, or stand in line, or just drop dead.

Listening to a local "For Seniors" talk radio program on my way to work today. I have no idea why but it sounded intresting. Not a political talk show.

Guest they had on was telling the audience all about what was in the bill. Just floored me with this one bit of information.

In the bill, Medicare bureaucrats in DC will now be making decisions about what is, and is not, "an effective treatment".

So after a decade of non stop demagoguery by the progressive leadership of the Democrat party about how they were "going to stop insurance companies from getting between you and your Doctor" the Democrats just turned around and put the Government between patients and Doctors instead.

And just WHERE was "the people's watchdogs" the so called "News Media" while this absurd disaster was being planned and voted on in Congress?

The really amusing thing is the Orahma regime Democrats actually think this disaster will get MORE popular the more people learn about it.
