Good news.

I e-mailed him just yesterday asking him to go from undecided to NO.

I guess he heard me :)

He’s one of the Blue Dogs who’s scared of his chances of Re-Election......One of Nancy Pelosi’s butt boys that came into office “Pretending” to be Conservative in 2006...I’m nervous his NO won’t stand....

If it passes, it doesn’t matter. The “Blue Dog” thing is a lie and everybody knows it now. If it doesn’t pass, he’s probably safe.

Shuler has been a firm “no” for a while. The Hill’s Whip Count says the Republicans currently have 36 Democrats voting “no”, and need 38 to kill the bill.

http://thehill.com/homenews/house/85693-whip-watch-the-hills-survey-of-house-dems-positions-on-healthcare-

They did not include DeFazio in that 36 (they still have him listed as “undecided”) ... which makes the number 37. They show 40 undecideds (including DeFazio) — which means we need ONLY ONE of the remaining 39 undecideds to kill the bill.

Shuler was a NO vote last time, so nothing has changed. However, he was a YES vote for Cap and Tax. If he wants to have a chance at reelection, he had best stand firmly NO on FascistCare.

There is a rally in front of his Asheville office at the City County Plaza at noon, tomorrow. Those available should plan to be there to "encourage" him to stand firm and do the right thing for our District and America.

Like all jellyfish-spined Dimocrats, he is a weak reed and needs bucking up.

It amazes me how these so-called representatives are willing to be on the wrong side of history. They need to cross over from the dark side.

Shuler needs to get support. As a young man at Swain County high he aspired to be a Christian example among the young people, and my cousins responded to that. I’m betting that his opposition is based on abortion and not on finances...at least not totally on finances.

He comes from a religiously conservative district in terms of life, self-protection, etc., and they will expect him to do the right thing.

We should NOT let the abortion issue drop. It is the major issue blocking this legislation.

His time in the emerald city as an nfl qback probably injured his spirit. God is in the resurrection business.

He was given a pass to vote no by Pelosi. Strange strategy. I’d think they would give Ellsworth a free pass and make either Shuler or Altmire vote yes because Ellsworth has to win a senate seat in Indiana - this vote will kill Ellsworth’s senate bid.
