Yesterday, AARP was calling folks in Colorado telling them to put pressure on their representatives to pass OBAMACARE. My Parents called representative Markle alright. They called and told her to vote against it. The then they called and cancelled their AARP membership once and for all. BTW, the folks at AARP were none to pleased at the former and the latter. I would encourage all of you to do the same.
(EXPLETIVE DELETE) YOU ! !
and mention commiecare as the reason.
AARP was given a shout out by Pelosi at her news confrence yesterday!

Around here these knuckle heads have a LARGE storefront in the mall. Very expensive location, and always a passel of Q-tips in there doing who knows what. I’m never tempted to walk in the door because I know what anyone in there has for a belief system.
Never been a member, never will be one. AARP has a financial interest in Obamacare. They sell medigap insurance.
I take every opportunity i can to let them know they are shills and i make them pay for the chance to do so. Everything that comes to the house from them that includes a postage paid envelope, i write in marker on the form “i would not belong to AARP if YOU paid ME. AARP has sold out it’s constituency for Obamacare and i will allow you to pay for me to tell you so, so long as you send things to this house.” I pop it in their postage paid envelope and mail it back to them. Have done it probably a dozen times in the past few months.
Last time I go one I told them to tuck their brown shirts
into their Depends.
“AARP has a financial interest in Obamacare. They sell medigap insurance.”
The prospect of increasing their medigap business is what led them to lobby Congress to enact the Medicare Catastrophic Act in 1988. Congress went along, foolishly thinking AARP actually represented the views/wishes of seniors. When House Ways and Means chairman Dan Rostenkowski was mobbed in his car by angry seniors, they figured out they’d miscalculated. The bill was repealed within 18 months of enactment. http://content.healthaffairs.org/cgi/reprint/9/3/75.pdf
Our first best hope is that Obamacare never is enacted. Our second best hope is that it is repealed—either by a Republican Congress voted in next November or through a ruling by the Supreme Court.
If passed, the country will go off of a cliff before anything is ever repealed. Prepare for chaos.
AARP outed themselves as socialist gun-control-freaks years ago. I throw their crap in the trash.
You are not kidding, I started getting their mailings when I was 47...(folks tell me I don’t even look 40). I debated signing up just to stick it to them interms of their ‘services’ but the thought of flashing an aarp card to get a ‘senior citizen’s discount” is repulsive to me right now. Plus, as I was telling a stunned friend(when I revealed my age), folks would look at that AARP card, look at me and ask incredulously, “Are you kidding?”
