Justice Stevens has in recent days become the Justice To Watch, namely because rumors continue to swirl that the 89-year old will soon step down, paving the way for another President Obama appointment.

Well, the balance of the court should stay the same. The only problem is, a new liberal judge will be there for decades.

Pray for the continued good health and service of Justices Alito, Thomas, Scalia, Roberts, and even Anthony Kennedy.

I read some liberal sounding blog which said that Obama should use the Democrat congress to expand the Supreme Court. Didn’t FDR get in trouble for trying the same thing? Would a power grab like that be a bridge too far for some liberals?

I doubt we can keep the old codger hanging on until a possible Republican election victory for President in 2012, but it would be nice if we could keep the old bat around until next year. Hopefully we will have much more clout in the Senate and be able to get a less Marxist on the Supreme Court.
