Wow, if you really buy that, then I’ve got some ocean-front property to sell you. The fact is that these are silly legislative responses to a fictional problem that was imagined out of whole cloth by liberal radical Phillip J. Berg and PUMA Clintonistas. The majority of people find this nonsense absurd. It does nothing to damage Obama and everything to damage the people who are against Obama’s policies.

I would love to see this type of legislation pass in time for the 2012 election, only to have 0bama submit the COLB from Hawaii and then see that accepted by each State as meeting their eligibility requirements (it being the only proof of birth that Hawaii issues these days); only to watch the birther's heads explode!

Sadly, you are right. Just over half of our population finds the Constitution absurd. I think ALL candidates for the White House should have to release their birth certificates as a matter of law and prove that they are natural born citizens of the United States, that they have lived in this country for at least 14 years, and that they are at least 35 years old. That's not a conspiracy theory - it's the law of the land (or ti should be). A similar law should apply to candidates for the House or the Senate. The Constitution is not a joke and should not be treated as such.

I am no birther - but exactly what is the problem with a State requiring a candidate to demonstrate he is qualified before putting him on the ballot? Even a twenty-one year old has to show proof before buying beer. Surely, asking the President to show proof of constitutional eligibility is not too much

Sez you. This is the talking point used to damp down legitimate queries. Nobody spends millions to hide something unless they are deathly afraid of exposure.
