PARIS (Reuters) - France demanded on Thursday that Israel explain how a forged French passport came to be used by assassins suspected of killing a Hamas commander in Dubai last month.
The case has already caused diplomatic friction between Israel and European allies, with Britain urging Israel to cooperate with efforts to clear up the apparent use of faked British passports.
"We are asking for explanations from Israel's embassy in France over the circumstances of the use of a fake French passport in the assassination of a Hamas member in Dubai," the Foreign Ministry said in an electronic news briefing.
Forged British, Irish, German and French documents were used by 11 people named by the United Arab Emirates as suspects.

What if it was not Israel behind the killings? Why do the French and British assume they were involved?

If I were Israel I would tell the French: “Yes, we faked your second rate nations passport to kill a terrorist, and then I wiped my a$$ with your precious French passport, paying special attention to the area with the flag.”

Funny isn’t it that no country is concerned about the fake passport the terrorist was using and no one is yelling at Hamas?
He was there in Dubai to buy weapons intended for use against Israelis.
They apparently didn’t appreciate that and did something about it.
It’s been shown time and again what happens to Israel if they leave their security up to the court of world opinion.
If it was truly Israel behind this, France (and the others) ought to be saying WOW, we couldn’t have produced a better imitation ourselves.

France should explain its collaboration with Hitler in his rounding up of Jews for extermination. Next question, France, why did your forces fire on the Americans entering North Africa in WWII?
France should explain why they gave safe harbor to the Ayatolla Khomeini for so many years. After that, they can explain why they tried to build a nuclear reactor in Iraq. When they are done with that, they can explain why hate crimes against Jews happen so often there.
You have to watch the French, they have those lethal pastry’s.

Forged British, Irish, German and French documents were used by 11 people named by the United Arab Emirates as suspects.Had it been the Mossad, as an amusing twist, they should have used passports of "yoots" who have burned cars. ;') Thanks Nachum.
Yeah...I don’t think they work well in Dubai.
