Not only do Democrats face the possibility of losing their congressional majorities, massive losses in state house races could jeopardize redistricting next year and set back the progressive agenda for at least a decade.
So, the Clinton Empire is planning to strike back.
Big Government has learned that Clintonistas are plotting a “push/pull” strategy. They plan to identify 7-8 national figures active in the tea party movement and engage in deep opposition research on them. If possible, they will identify one or two they can perhaps ‘turn’, either with money or threats, to create a mole in the movement. The others will be subjected to a full-on smear campaign. (Has MSNBC already been notified?)
Big Government has also learned that James Carville will head up the effort.
Obviously, there is no love lost between Obama and the Clinton machine. It may at first seem odd that Clinton would rush to Obama’s defense, but the tea party movement poses a threat far beyond the immediate goals of the Obama Administration.
The tea party movement could evolve into a new political realignment, one founded on a belief in limited government and less government interference in the economy. The Progressive agenda, which has been painstakingly built up over the last three decades, could be left in tatters.
As the Clinton’s know, “politics ain’t beanbag.” Expect the counterattack soon. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

It gives one pause to consider what sort of scum will be working behind the scenes. Larry Flynt probably already has gotten the call (remember his $1 million bounty for anyone who could find extramarital dirt on Republicans?)
Too funny. There is no real Tea Party and they are attacking it. It is like attacking a shadow. We are just a rag tag band of Overtaxed and fed up people. I went to the townhall in Tampa and we scared the Union and Acorn Congresscommie Castor to death and were on National News. So now they are attacking citizens who just want to get back to normal. I kind of see it as people realizing how Libertarian they are. Aside from a few social and foriegn policy issues. Seems to be a Taxpayer revolt. Even an answer to the Black and Progressive Caucuses that have caused so much trouble.
I think that anything they do negative will just cause a backlash against them. The Tea Party evolution will continue regardless of what they do - vary different than previous elections. Democrats just don’t get it yet - thank goodness!

It has been giving me a headache following the attacks on Foxnews with downright dirty lies. Latest is Fox is in the tank for mccain. JD Hayworth has been on Fox at least three times this week.
Clearly some of the Fox anchors are for him, (JD,) not agin him. Neil Cavuto for one.
The saudis are NOT calling the shots on Fox as has been claimed. Roger Ailes is. I can refute every single one of these idiot charges, and all anyone has to do is watch Fox for one day to know it is a lie.
AND all anyone has to do is recall WHO wants Fox discredited the most. clinton and obama have that in common too.
Just like they did to Joe the plumber. Politics got worse when the Clinton’s went to Washington. Spinning changed to out right lies, crude, rude, and hatefulness increased.
No doubt it will be just as effective as the “Air America” counterattack.

It is an Alinsky "Rules For Radicals" tactic: They need to establish Tea Party leader(s) in the public mind, even if they do not exist, so they can undermine the Tea Party by destroying the reputation of these specific people.

Taking on the Tea Party people would be like getting in a fist fight with a swarm of wasps. There is no one leader to take out, just a group of like minded individuals who know what is right, and get together to do it.
For sure. I can’t sleep very much at night & TV stinks. Sometimes I feel like a vampire but I don’t like sleeping pills so I just sit here until I almost fall asleep. At least I am in good company!
