You omitted some of the dialog in your transcript excerpts. Just before 2:07, EBM stepped off the bus, said "... hit me first, he hit me in the face! It's f'n self-defense! Don't f with me!" and was walking away from the bus.
Then the black dude while standing safely inside the bus said "Yeah, next time, I'll f you up!". Leaking black guy doesn't know when to give it up, is a glutton for punishment.
When it went viral on the Internet, people tracked down the black gal who stole EBM's grocery bag, and showed her name, address and pictures of her home in Oakland, challenging others to harass her for stealing the Epic Beard Guy's belongings. Isn't the Internet fun?

I’m missing your point here.
All of these urban beatdown videos are like nature shows from the Serengeti. You see the predator checking out the herd, looking for the weak prey animal, and when the process is complete he goes for it.
What makes this one so different is that the predator looks about as surprised as a hyena would if the impala suddenly turned around and kicked his ass.

The reason the vid went viral has nothing to do with the white guy whatever we think of him, and I agree with you.
The reason it went viral is because gentle civilized law abiding innocent people are sick and tired of being victimized maimed and killed by black punks (male/female) just because they are out and about.
Think Reginald Denny or the young women who were beaten to brain damage a couple of years ago.

Epic Beard is for sure that kind of “don’t screw with me” guy.
Looking at this as a guy who has many times lost his cool and gotten into altercations, many of which I regretted.....
Epic Beard, long term, sure didn’t do his personal security factor any good. He just became nationally famous as a white guy who beat the crap out of a black guy.
That’s fine, if he was on vacation in that ‘hood for one week, and now he’s back home in another state.
But he lives there, and some black punk is going to pop a cap in his famous back now “just because.”
Some kinds of fame don’t work to your advantage.
That’s true. The next video like this might be an old white guy pulling out a Glock and defending himself after being hit with 17 bullets. Something for punks to consider.
Many are quick to suppose Epic Beard Guy “wanted an excuse” to lose his cool.
Perhaps he “wanted” an excuse because he’s been given plenty by the type of hood-rats we see in the video over the years of using public transportation.
