I'm still not sure he gets it.
W.C. Fields in the hospital and near the end.
"a friend stopped by for a visit and caught Fields reading the Bible. When asked why, Fields replied, 'I'm checking for loopholes."
Actually John was starting to warm up to Jesus at the end of his life. But like many of us it takes a long long time to really sense it in everyday living and it surely would have taken John a bit longer but he seemed on track.

Its a strange thing that often those most antagonistic to Christianity later become Christians. St Paul is the perfect example of that. Maybe Richard Dawkins will come around, and he is a LOT less antagonistic than Paul was.
George Harrison regularly referred to God as well, but he was mainly into the Eastern religions.
Good for him. Hopefully Beatles fans will be as moved by his conversion as they seemed to be by Lennon’s Godless socialism.

That line struck me too. There are many *gods* he could be referring to. I pray he has found the right one.
He looks good for his age....
I think the NIKE dress shoes are perfect..: )
Will you still need me, will you still feed me. When I'm sixty-four...!!
Apparently his wife will!!
That would make the Beatles anti-God.
Sounds like he is a Universalist.
A lifetime of sex, drugs, Rock n’ Roll and seducing an entire generation of youth to follow him on the journey.
That contributed as a catalyst of the counter culture revolution that we still suffer from to this day. We lost a generation to drugs and loose sex, and even lost a war.
God might forgive that. I won’t.
"God" could be Buddha, Allah, or Obama for all we can tell.
Not that I care. Too many of these entertainment names are gods unto themselves....and their egos would never submit to a higher moral authority.

TRANSLATION: Ringo is cramming for exams!
I am friends with a Pastor who was preaching in Japan in the 70’s. He said that John Lennon came into a service, very quietly sat in the back, and left with a sad look on his face.
That would totally shock me if true, for as much as I loved The Beatles, I was so displeased with JL for Imagine. I hated to see him and The Beatles go off the cliff and takes thousands with them.
Please see my post #35
I don’t question him. He says he found God, then I believe him. At heart Ringo is just a lucky bloke from Liverpool. He has had a very interesting life and ultimately handled it well. Same can be said for George and Paul. Think John would have mellowed if permitted. With the exception of John, think they all handled the fame and fortune thingy pretty well.
If God himself forgives Ringo then what right do you have to hold anything against him ?
Thanks.
I think the conversion supposedly took place in his apartment in 1978 or 1979 while watching a Christian program on TV.
I seem to remember that much.
