Yes they did. Apparently, many people mispronounce things.
This is so sad, Corpsmen have been awarded more Medals of Honor than any other group in the Navy. My wife was a recent Skipper at Crops School in Great Lakes where they are trained. These sailors do amazing things all the time, at the very least their CIC can pronounce their name correctly. Maybe he will have it figured in another three years. Where is all that intelligence that we heard so much about?
That proves that when he reads a teleprompter, he hasn’t got a clue of what he is saying.

Yes they do. Bush is mocked for pronouncing nuclear all the time.
Here’s the question...will anyone (except Republicans of course) make fun of Obama for misprouncing corpsman? Probably not.
And of course, does Bush really mispronounce nuclear or does he just pronounce it like Texans do? But corpsman? There’s only one way to pronounce it, as long as you know your grammar and know that the p is silent.
Is Obama to blame for mispronouncing the word, or are other people to blame,throughout his life, for not correcting him when he said it?
These days, if someone mispells a word on a message board, or mispronounces it in real life, god forbid you should “embarrass them,” or “show off” by correcting them. So they continue to go through life not knowing they are mispronouncing various words...and sometimes it comes back to bite people in the butt. In this case, the President of the United States does not mispronounce the word corpsman, he simply doens’t know how to pronounce it all all.
Hades! What would Saturday Night Live, Leno, Letterman, Conan, et al do if Palin had mispronounced this? We would be reminded constantly for two weeks.

But they are common mispronounciations.
Some are transpositions.
Same word at a speech in Pensacola last year!
