An issue that refuses to go away, which surrounded the Scott Brown Senate campaign, was when Senator-elect Brown (R - MA) would be certified and sworn in as Massachusetts’ new U.S. senator.

The Washington Times spoke to Mr. Brown’s spokesman Felix Browne, who said they expect the GOP’er from Wrentham to be seated in the Senate by February 11.

On Thursday, Senate Democrats passed a $1.9 trillion increase in the federal debt limit. This legislation was passed with all Democrats voting for it and all Republicans voting against it. The bill now goes to the House and if passed, another vote on the debt will not happen until well after the mid-term elections in 2011.

I can guarantee you that if Coakley had won and they didn’t have Kirk there already, she’d be seated already.

A couple of years ago,Niki Tsongas,a typical Massachusetts RAT,was elected to fill a vacant (US) House seat that was vacated mid-term.She was seated...and voting....TWO DAYS after the election. So I guess that here, there are two different sets of laws...one for Republicans and one for RATS.

This is the kind of crap that has people oiling and cleaning their guns.

This kind of partisan foolishness must stop.It destroys democracy , denigrates those who voted for Brown, and denies the peaceful pursuit of the Republic.

And its a fascist mode of governance.THe people will no longer tolerate it.

That trillion dollar vote should be fought in court. Kirk was placed in office by an ex post facto law change. Plus Massachusetts had a duly elected Senator. Two valid reasons why Kirks vote was null and void.

Was Kirk allowed to vote?

Every story version I heard leading up to the election that Brown won said that Kirk was an appointed fill-in for Kennedy, and that at midnight of election day, Kirk was no longer a person who had any right to vote in the Senate on anything.

Clarification, please???

I don’t even hear conservative radio hosts talking about the delay of Scott Brown getting sworn in when Kennedy was sworn into office in two days (unless I missed it).

Not only that, this story was pretty hard to find. Almost no one outside of a few blogs and Free Republic are talking about this issue.

I did the math. They raised the debt limit 1.9 Trillion. That is 6248 dollars extra debt for every single American from a totally illegitimate vote. The looters must like the silence over this outrage.

I have a better idea. February 1, 2010!!!!

He really should have been seated on January 22, but you can't undo the past.

One other source that covers this story is aclj.org, but why not the others? I don’t get it.

Not that it will really do any good or make any difference, but just to get this off my chest, I am going to call Mitch McConnell's office tomorrow and scream & holler about this as to why the spineless Repubs have folded like a wet soggy blanket on this.

Also I am going to call Sen David Vitter's office as well, as he had an online petition to sign that called to seat Scott Brown NOW!!! Hopefully I can get some type of explanation as to why Kirk is still voting and whatever happened to the Seat Scott Brown petition, and why hasn't it happened?

I was about to post this article, but then found yours.

WTF is going on??? Prior to the election, amidst all the talk of an intentional delay to ram through HealthCare, the MA SOS came out and said he would not delay past the federally mandated 10 days in order to count military ballots. Well, that 10 days ended on Friday. Now they say Feb 11, THREE WEEKS after the election.

And the conservatives went silent! WTF?? Was the promise to wait on health care good enough? We’re silent while they pass a bunch of other crap, like a $1.9 TRILLION increase of the budget cap.

I emailed my two Senator’s and should probably call as well.

But what happened to the outrage?

SEAT SCOTT BROWN NOW!!!
