LIVONIA, Mich., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- The family of a Michigan boy celebrating his 14th birthday at a Fairfield Inn said the party was interrupted by an 18-inch snake by an indoor pool.
Justin Moy said he was celebrating with six friends at the Livonia hotel when one of his friends approached the black or dark green snake, thinking it was a rubber fake, leading the reptile to hiss and slither into the pool, the Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.
"I was like, 'Oh my God,'" Justin recalled of the Saturday evening incident.

Looks like Justin Moy had an uninvited guest tag along for the party.
Snakes on a Plane (well, diving board)!

At least it wasn’t a Baby Ruth.
DOODIE!!!
I was wondering what John McCain was doing in Michigan!
Thoroughly modern girly-boy.
People are such pussies. A small, non venomous snake causes everyone to get the vapors. I remember a story from the UK about someone finding a .22 short round in a doorway. They closed down everything for that.
I know it’s not Christian of me, but I often size up people in light of something really bad happening. Most of them don’t stand a chance without their AC, internet, plastic packaging, blood free, dirt free world.
The little garter snake was probably the cleanest thing in the pool area. Stooopid humans.
shoulda posted bill murry in the hazmat suit takin a bite...lolol...
Snake at a hotel party in Michigan? So that was creepy for the governor Granholm to show up and ruin a kid’s birthday... How tacky...
I’ve been bitten by garter snakes dozens of times. I usually don’t realize it till later because you don’t even feel the bite.
I didn’t read the story but I suspect some genius set it free in 10 degree weather.
