The voters of Massachusetts will be going to the polls next week and they need to search their souls and find some compassion for a young girl who was savaged by of the most despicable child rapist in my memory.

The need to also look at the actions of their Attorney General who did everything, in her power, to protect him.

Can you look at this case, as human beings, and really go into that booth to vote for a person who would use her political power to defend the actions of this heinous sub human?

If your politics supersede your humanity then God have mercy on your soul.

How can anyone look in the mirror and live with themselves after protecting vermin like this?

Coakley has no soul. She sold it to Satan long ago.

President George Bush was out and around and was seen in this shop. Someone asked him if he thought that Obama would be able to help Coakley in Massachusetts in keeping Senator Kenney's seat.

[ ... you can see who is laughing the most about that one... LOL... ]

Her actual quote:

[I’ve spent my entire career working to keep our communities safe. I prosecuted vicious felons and dangerous predators who abused our children.]

We really need to find a much stronger word to replace hypocrisy.

How did she ever get elected to AG?

She got on the Mass Democratic Party escalator.

Scott Harshbarger was Middlesex District Attorney, moved up to state Attorney General, then ran for Governor and lost.

When Scott Harshbarger moved up to state AG, Tom Riley, his Assitant DA, became Middlesex DA, and when Harshbarger ran for Governor, Riley moved up to state AG.

When Riley became state AG, his Assistant DA, Martha Coakley became Middlesex DA. Then Riley ran for Governor and lost. Coakely moved up to state AG, and now she's running for Governor.

It would probably be easier just to draw a diagram, but I couldn't find one online. Basically, everybody moves up one rung on the ladder when their boss moves up.

Martha got on the escalator and rode it up as far as she could. It's not like there were any serious Republican challengers, and all of the Democrats who might have run against the machine were bought off one way or another.

I guess Middlesex has the largest population of all the counties, and is pretty representative of the state as a whole, so if you get on the escalator there, you're more likely to move up than if you're in Boston or Worcester or the Berkshires or tiny, law-abiding Nantucket.

Coakley's used to to just moving up the ladder, so she hasn't had to be very bright or develop political skills. What's surprising is that she graduated Williams College with honors. She probably got in because she was a local girl. Maybe she had a soft major, or maybe Williams is one of those schools where everybody who graduates, graduates with honors.

FWIW, for a long time the Middlesex DA was John Droney, who had a stroke and couldn't speak in a way that many people could understand. Droney "made his wishes known" through his Assistant DA, a fellow named John Kerry. So even a generation ago, the escalator was working.

It’s a sick one, too sick for me to repeat. Be prepared.
