Lost in all the bullshit was the fact that designation of a 'pandemic' has nothing to do with lethality, only with breadth and sustainability. The common cold has been a pandemic for years and no one even notices.

That is strange. I work with dozens of people every week who have poor/compromised health, not to mention dozens of caregivers exposed to whatever comes in the door, and have not known one single casualty of H1N1, much less a death.

Well, maybe it was a pandemic of a disease with a much lower mortality rate and generally less severe symptoms than they’d expected.

They got something wrong, whether it was the virulence or the pandemic spread I don’t know.

Soon afte rthis all started, last spring, I predicted that the H1N1 flu would be off the front pages in a couple weeks.

I was wrong, not realizing that the Left and the State Run Media wanted this to be GLobal Warming times 100.

I was right from the standpoint of the flu not being any more serious than the normal seasonal flu.

I was receiving good care, actually.

The thing is, the H1N1 flu does allow secondary infections very quickly. My pneumonia was helped greatly and within 24 hours by the strong antibiotics and it saved me.

Ohhh, I feel for you. I had never had any lung issues before, and mine was only single pneumonia. But I felt myself losing consciousness on day 4. It was really really scary.

I was hoping to get back to exercising this week. It’s been about 6 weeks since I’ve worked out. Bravo for you!

I am finally able to sleep on the left side again and not needing to be fully elevated. But outside in the cool moist air in the evenings, I sound asthmatic still.

Nope, this flu is not hype. Not if you get it.
