I recently came back from a year over there as a civilian. I'd wager that you are probably correct. Welcome home!
Something similar happened in Mosul, December '04. Very, very sad.
I'm likely headed to Afghanistan in the spring (civilian.) They're calling for quite a few civilians there these days.
