LETTER: The Second Amendment and Martha Coakley

Winchester, MA - I don’t know about crime in your neighborhood, but in mine (Forest Street, Washington Street, Highland Avenue, Clematis, South Border Road), there have been 22 reported house break-ins in the past two months. That’s almost three per week.

That’s sufficiently alarming to cause the police chief to pro-actively conduct on going gun safety classes and issue gun permits. In the matter of home invasions, when seconds count, it is not comforting that the police are only minutes away.

Just 5–6 weeks ago, five teenage boys invaded a home in Mount Vernon, N.H., murdered Kimberly Cates and badly maimed her eight year old daughter.

A couple of months earlier, a home invader in Wolfeboro, shot Stacy Brown to death in her kitchen.

Closer to home — other than the 22 house break-ins and the double murder on Irving Street two years ago — last month a 6’4” 250 pound madman attacked Dr Astrid Derosiers in the corridor outside her office at MGH, stabbed her twice and was milliseconds from a third fatal stabbing, when an armed Paul Langone on hearing Derosiers’ screams, rushed down the hallway, shot and killed the attacker. Were it not for this armed citizen, Derosier, and who knows how many other innocents who were at the wrong place at the wrong time, would have been killed.

But Martha Coakley says that she wants to discourage this sort of “Self Help,” as she calls it. She even permitted multiple charges to be brought against the brave, quick acting Langone! Coakley evidently thinks that someone should have called 911. Better that Derosiers be killed and other innocents maimed or killed by a rampaging psychopath than permit the public to protect itself.

Lawyers & Lobbyists $449,254

She got her money in the last election from Lawyers and Lobbyists.

Sadly most of the people who cared left Massachusetts long ago. The remaining sheep refuse to accept that we have a God-given right to keep and bear arms... exactly to deal with situations like these.

I didn’t know that firearms were permissible in Taxachusetts. Are there actually sane parts of the state?

And this Martha Coakley is a joke. She embodies the type of person who should be armed, but she relies on others for her own safety. Sorry Martha, you’re a malicious and elitist Liberal who doesn’t deserve the vote of the constituency.

Anyone who votes for this woman is voting away their right to best an assailant.

Anyone who believes that the Second Amendment is bad also embraces slavery, their own.

Coakley exact quote was “We are really trying to discourage people from self help.”
She said this on wtkk96.9 FM. and this was in regard to a man who punched out another man who tried to molest his son in a bathroom. And of course only in Ma. did the boys father get arrested.

So in other words if Martha Coakley wins this election for US Senate in Ma. The people who attacked the terrorist on board flight 253 could very well face legal action for “self help” and assulting the terrorist.

Please support Scott Brown for US Senate.

You can bet if Martha’s home was broken into in the middle of the night, someone would already be there with a gun. Probably Martha.
Certainly, if someone was stabbing people in the hall outside her office, someone with a gun would have ended the stabber’s life.
Typical elitist bovine scat.
