Lila Rose has made a name for herself exposing the abuses at Planned Parenthood centers, such as staffers misleading women about abortion or hiding cases of sexual abuse. Rose became a victim herself Thursday morning as a Planned Parenthood staff member attacked her.
Late Thursday morning at the Planned Parenthood abortion facility located at 1691 The Alameda in San Jose, California, Rose led a group of pro-life advocates....
According to a police report filed at the scene and numerous witnesses, a uniformed Planned Parenthood escort engaged in a short exchange with Rose and eventually struck her on the hand, knocking her literature to the ground.
"Sir, are you familiar with the abortion procedure?" Rose asked the Planned Parenthood escort while standing on the public sidewalk.
The escort approached Rose from the Planned Parenthood parking lot and said, "You idiot. You've caused so much trouble. You piece of crap."
Rose offered to show the escort a picture of a baby victimized by abortion, saying, "Can I show you a picture of what it really does to a baby?"
At this point, the escort struck Rose's hand knocking her pro-life pamphlets and Bible to the ground and Rose stepped further back on the public sidewalk.
The Planned Parenthood official moved closer to Rose and, visibly shaking, says, "It's a woman's choice!"
"What about the baby's choice?" Rose responds....
Abortion Advocate Chides Pro-Abortion Movement for Ignoring Lila Rose Videos
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Activist and muckraker Lila Rose has single-handedly helped gain national exposure for the glaring problem of the abortion industry covering up cases of sexual abuse of minors by encouraging them to get abortions. largely silent in response, one pro-abortion activists suggests her colleagues wake up.
Rose has taken it upon herself to go to abortion centers in states such as Arizona, Indiana and Tennessee and to find out what they would say to an underage woman who allegedly is a victim of statutory rape by a much-older boyfriend.
The results have shocked even veteran pro-life advocates with the emotionless ways in which Planned Parenthood staff members go out of their way to not report the sexual abuse to authorities. They even go further by encouraging Rose to hide the identify of her boyfriend from a state judge so she can avoid the state's parental involvement laws and have a secret abortion without her parents knowing.
The nationally-recognized pro-abortion groups like NARAL and Emily's List have ignores the videos and Planned Parenthood's response has mostly been to minimize their content, promise to do better, and to guard their taxpayer funding.

Anti-Abortion Movement Has New Poster Child
OAKLAND, California, May 28 (IPS) - Shes a politically savvy history student at the University of California, Los Angeles who is appearing on countless conservative talk radio programmes and cable television news shows.
She was given the 2008 Person of the Year Malachi Award, by the longtime anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, and received a 50,000-dollar grant from an anti-abortion philanthropist.
On her campus, she is campaigning to urge the administration to cut ties with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, a national provider of sexual and reproductive health services.
Meet Lila Rose, 20, the president of Live Action Films, and the new face of the anti-abortion movement.
Roses emergence onto the national stage comes at a time when President Barack Obama, who supports the legal right to abortion, is nevertheless seeking "common ground" on the issue.

Rose's attack on Planned Parenthood has inspired anti-abortion activists all across the country. One fascinating aspect of her story is how quickly she has become connected to the broader Christian conservative movement, receiving legal and public relations support, education training, philanthropic grants, financial awards, and a tonne of publicity from longtime conservative media operations.
Since 2006, Rose has been going into Planned Parenthood clinics pretending to be a young teenager impregnated by an older man. She described her work by saying that she goes into these clinics in order "to illustrate the abuses and the lawlessness that goes on inside these clinics regularly." Rose tries to entice a Planned Parenthood staff or volunteer to violate the law by telling her to lie about the ages of their adult boyfriends.
A boiled down - and dramatically enhanced - version of her videos is posted on Rose's LiveAction.org website and You Tube. While surreptitious encounters at Planned Parenthood clinics in Indianapolis, Indiana, Memphis, Tennessee, Los Angeles, California, and Tucson, Arizona may never garner Susan Boyle-type numbers, nevertheless, they could have an effect on the operations and future government funding of Planned Parenthood.
"There is this stereotype of who we pro-life leaders are, and for the most part it would be white middle-aged religious men trying to impose their will on women," said the Rev. Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition. "So now with Lila, you bring this young, fresh college student that completely blows any stereotypes away. No one is going to accuse Lila of being mean, vindictive and harsh."
Roses work "is an update of an old tactic invented by Mark Crutcher of the Denton, Texas-based group Life Dynamics, whose efforts were carried out by telephone and the conversations were primarily with receptionists," Frederick Clarkson, a longtime researcher into the anti-abortion movement, told IPS.
Rose grew up in San Jose, California, was home-schooled and later attended a part-time Christian school and a junior college. She founded Live Action when she was 15 years old, giving anti-abortion presentations at schools and to youth groups. Over the past few years, she attended workshops at the Leadership Institute, a Virginia-based educational foundation that teaches conservatives how to polish their communication skills.
While a freshman at UCLA, she and James O'Keefe came up with the idea to infiltrate clinics. OKeefe was the founder of The Rutgers Centurian, a conservative magazine published at New Jerseys Rutgers University.
Roses work is having an impact. Earlier this year, legislators in Tennessee said they "would seek to end a 721,000-dollar contract with Planned Parenthood, citing outrage over what they saw in a [Rose] video," the Los Angeles Times reported.
That video, from July of last year, has Rose posing as a 14-year-old who was impregnated by a 31-year-old. A Planned Parenthood staffer tells her: "Just say you have a boyfriend, 17 years old, whatever."
The Orange County (California) Board of Supervisors also "voted to suspend a grant worth nearly 300,000 dollars to Planned Parenthood that was earmarked for sex education, not abortions... [after] a conservative Tustin businessman raised the issue with Supervisor John Moorlach after meeting Rose and seeing her videos," the Times reported.
According to Clarkson, co-founder of the blog Talk2Action, "health workers trying to be compassionate and helpful towards a young person in trouble find themselves in a tricky situation; exploited in order to produce antiabortion propaganda."
...
These days, Rose, who has received considerable publicity from anti-abortion media outlets, is surrounded by a veteran group of conservative supporters. Last September she was a featured speaker at the Family Research Councils Values Voter Summit.
The Alliance Defence Fund, a Christian legal group, has given her free legal advice; she is receiving support from the Washington, D.C.-based CRC Public Relations, a conservative PR firm that played a role in the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth campaign that targeted Democrat John F. Kerry during the 2004 presidential race.
Earlier this year, Rose received 50,000 dollars as a winner of the Gerard Health Foundations inaugural Life Prizes awards. The foundation is a Massachusetts-based charity founded by Raymond Ruddy, a Catholic businessman who has funded antiabortion campaigns and abstinence-only sex education projects.
Roses efforts are "unfair of course, because no actual crimes have been committed, and it is entirely for propaganda purposes," Frederick Clarkson pointed out. "We can contrast this with the actual sex crimes committed by Catholic priests against children. No one has demanded that the government end grants and contracts with Catholic agencies such as Catholic Relief Services or Catholic Charities over this.
"In addition, surveys show that Planned Parenthood has an excellent reputation. This is problematic for the anti-abortion cause, and so there have been attacks over many years to damage Planned Parenthood's public image, and I fully expect them to continue."

US student, 20, emerges as anti-abortion crusader
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - With a video camera hidden in her backpack, college student Lila Rose has become a rising star in the U.S. anti-abortion movement for her clandestine tactics in taking on Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest provider of surgical abortions.
Rose stages her own sting operations at Planned Parenthood clinics, posing as a pregnant teenage girl to shine a light on what she says is the taxpayer-subsidized organization's cover-up of sexual abuse.
She claims Planned Parenthood counselors routinely ignore their duty to report statutory rape when dealing with young girls impregnated by older men and often tell them to lie about their age or the identity of their sex partners rather than alert authorities.
Rose, a 20-year-old history major at University of California, Los Angeles, posts the secretly obtained tapes on the website of her nonprofit group, LiveAction.org, prompting authorities in three states to launch investigations of Planned Parenthood.
"Planned Parenthood is looking at these young girls as a plumbing problem: 'We'll get you that abortion and send you on your way,'" Rose told Reuters in an interview. "And that's disrespecting two human lives. It's destroying her pre-born child and sending her back to an abuser."
A spokesman for Planned Parenthood declined to discuss the specific cases involving Rose but said the organization has strict policies and procedures regarding mandatory reporting and takes seriously laws protecting minors.
"In rare instances where health center employees violate those policies, immediate corrective action is taken," he said.
Thirty-six years after the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the landmark Roe v. Wade case that termination of pregnancy was legal, abortion is still a bitterly debated social and political issue in the United States.
A Gallup poll conducted earlier this month showed 51 percent of Americans identified themselves as "pro-life."
INVESTIGATIONS
Because minors cannot legally consent to sex with an adult, health providers are required to alert authorities when an underage girl has been impregnated by an older man.
A grand jury in Marion County, Indiana, is investigating Planned Parenthood based on Rose's videotapes and authorities in Tennessee and Arizona say they are reviewing the matter.
Officials in Tennessee and Orange County, California, have considered suspending public funds to the organization.
Rose's activities have won her support from conservatives, anti-abortion activists and some child abuse experts and umbrage from abortion rights supporters -- at least one urging donations to Planned Parenthood in her name.
Planned Parenthood clinics have posted Rose's picture to alert workers and U.S. News and World Report blogger Bonnie Erbe demanded to know why she had not been arrested for trespassing or fraud.
Rose, who was raised in a large family in California and started LiveAction.Org at the age of 15, decided to conduct her own investigation after seeing Planned Parenthood sued by girls who said the clinics covered up their sexual abuse and reading a study that found that the practice was common.
Walking into two Los Angeles area Planned Parenthood clinics with a hidden video camera in March 2007, Rose, then 18, told the staff she was 15 and had been impregnated by her 23-year-old boyfriend.
She says the workers at the first center encouraged her to lie about her age so that they would not have to report statutory rape. At the second center, she says, counselors aggressively pushed her to have an abortion.
Since then, Rose has conducted stings at six other clinics, pretending to be a 13- or 14-year-old girl carrying the baby of a much older man. She says staff members at all six clinics told her they did not care about her age or would not report it and in three instances instructed her to lie.
"The laws are set up so that the children don't have to ask for help. It's the job of mandated reporters to be looking at this girl and figuring out her well being. Is she OK? Who is her sexual partner?" Rose said.
"And it's set up that way because these girls are dealing with shame, fear, manipulation. They can't say, 'Hey, he's 21, make the report please.'"
