As Barack Obama accepted the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, the Dalai Lama told Sky News he believed the award was "a little early". He also cautioned the US president against relying too much on his advisers.

The Dalai Lama told Sky News: "I think if you are realistic, it may have been a little early but it doesn't matter, I know Obama is a very able person.

"Sometimes these individual persons rely on different advice from different people so like former President Bush junior, as a human being I really love him, really wonderful person, very honest, very truthful.

"But I think due to his advisers' views, some of his policies have been a disaster."

The spiritual leader described Mr Obama as "young and energetic".

"I think the Nobel Peace Prize gives him more encouragement and also gives him more moral personal responsibility," he said.

Doesn’t matter. I know of Cracker Jack prizes that are worth more than the peace prize.

The Norwigs have completely bastardized something that was essentially worthless from the start.

How many liberal heads exploded with that one?

With all due respect, sir, shut up. You wouldn't be showering him with such effusive platitudes if you lived here in the U.S.

Bush's fault

He was just a guy in the neighborhood

That's not the Reverand Wright I knew.

I don't know what's in the health care bill

Will this guy ever be held responsible for anything?

Actually, I think the Dalai Lama was saying that some of President Bush’s policies were a disaster—but because of his advisors.

You guys, this is a very old underhanded insult.

Back in the days of kings, you would not EVER say the king made a mistake. You would always claim that it was someone else’s fault. For instance, “King George, I fear your advisors are making a terrible mistake by taxing the colonies without giving them reassurances as to why.” even though you KNOW good and well it’s the King himself who made the decision.

Therefore, the Dahli Llama is calling Obama a moron (and Bush too I suppose) by claiming it’s his circle that is messing up, not the leader himself.

One Marxist standing up for another.
