So some newspapers in Non-Swiss Europe criticized the Swiss direct democacy.

Funny, from the Swiss perspective the part outside their borders simply practices the same old form of Fascism that's been endemic in the region for the last 3000 years.

Several papers criticise the type of democracy practised in Switzerland, which allows ordinary people rather than elected representatives to decide on such matters.

If we had that in America, ObamaCare would be dead.

I read a couple of articles in the British Press that were highly critical, but the comments to those articles were very telling in their overwelming support for the Swiss, and their wishes that it would happen in GB as well.

And Europe, in general, is beginning to allow more minarets per square mile then the US has Starbucks. I just hope they remember these press expressions when they all are required to bounce their heads off the floor ( and point their posteriors toward GOD )
five times a day.

Did the same newspapers berate certain other countries for banning the construction of churches? Or is it still OK to restrict Christianity?

I seems like the signal is “Muslims are not welcome in Switzerland”. I have no problem with it.

When the muzzies make their move against the European nations like they did during the crusades and take over parts of Spain, at least the Swiss will be worth fighting to save.

The Swiss ban sends exactly the right signal to the Muslim world. It says, you will not be allowed to eradicate centuries of European culture with your immigrant intrusions. If you want to live here in Europe, you will be expected to live like Europeans. If you want to live like Mohammed, leave. It’s a quite proper assessment.

European papers are dismayed by Switzerland's popular vote to ban the building of minarets. Some fear it will backfire, sending the wrong signal to the Muslim world and setting a precedent for other parts of Europe. Several papers criticise the type of democracy practised in Switzerland, which allows ordinary people rather than elected representatives to decide on such matters.
Gee, I guess the other Euro-speak term for "too much democracy" is "democracy". Thanks rdl6989.

Eurotrash dhimmi’s whimpering again.

When Muslim “nations” like Saudi Arabia and other slime holes allow Christians to have churches, Jews to have synagogues, and stop destroying statues of Buddha - then I will consider minarets being allowed anywhere on the face of the earth.

Typical MSM morons.

This ban may induce the Muslim Mass Murderers (MMM) in Western countries to riot, kill, plunder and rape..?

WTF?

What universe are these losers in?

Don't they read the pap...

...never mind...

Typical BBC B. S.

Most non-Muslim Europeans, especially in such places as Holland, are delighted that the Swiss demonstrated this courage.

Goddammit I'm hardly surprised! Letting ordinary people make decisions - what the hell are they thinking of????

Yeah, no way should people be allowed to decide their own destiny!/SAR Europeans, hogtied by 1000s of years of being ruled instead of governed. This is what they hate about America, for the most part people decide their own fate, or we used to before we became infiltrated by communist traitors.
