So declares Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe, taking a few minutes away from a Thanksgiving retreat with his family. "Ninety-five percent of the nails were in the coffin prior to this week. Now they are all in."
If any politician might be qualified to offer last rites, it would be Mr. Inhofe. The top Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee has spent the past decade in the thick of Washington's climate fight. He's seen the back of three cap-and-trade bills, rode herd on an overweening Environmental Protection Agency, and steadfastly insisted that global researchers were "cooking" the science behind man-made global warming.
This week he's looking prescient. The more than 3,000 emails and documents from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit(CRU) that have found their way to the Internet...
--snip--
There's still the EPA, which is preparing an "endangerment finding" that would allow it to regulate carbon on the grounds it is a danger to public health. It is here the emails might have the most direct effect. The agency has said repeatedly that it based its finding on the U.N. science-which is now at issue. The scandal puts new pressure on the EPA to accede to growing demands to make public the scientific basis of its actions.
Mr. Inhofe goes so far as to suggest that the agency might not now issue the finding. "The president knows how punitive this will be; he's never wanted to do it through [the EPA] because that's all on him." The EPA was already out on a legal limb with its finding, and Mr. Inhofe argues that if it does go ahead, the CRU disclosure guarantees court limbo. "The way the far left used to stop us is to file lawsuits and stall and stall. We'll do the same thing."

We just have to be relentless. Just keep pounding them. We'll get back to SCOTUS. Anthony Kennedy will reverse his earlier vote that CO2 is a pollutant, IMHO. Judges despise lies.
Not a chance.
But executions for people who litter might be.
We would be in much better position now if Bush and McCain had not backed AGW. At least Palin had some common sense on this issue - for which she was pilloried by Charlie Gibson and others.
Who’s looking dumb now Gibson?
>> Anthony Kennedy will reverse his earlier vote that CO2 is a pollutant, IMHO. Judges despise lies.
Honest ones do, anyway. And I have no reason to believe that Kennedy is dishonest, intellectually or otherwise, whatever his ideological flaws may be.
Good point.
>> We would be in much better position now if Bush and McCain had not backed AGW.
I wonder if we’ll see Bush, McCain, and other RINOs backpeddling and claiming they were mislead.
Sen. Jim Inhofe seems to be a voice in the dark. AFAIK, not a single Congressman or Senator besides Jim have said a word about Climategate. Hoping I’m wrong but that’s the way it looks from here and I’ve been following this thing pretty close.

This?
"Does this mean we can have our incandescent light bulbs back?"
...is going to become the rallying cry that helps drag this swindle into the light of day.
And yes, it is a swindle- a fraud and a cheat and a scam-- a deliberately designed construct intended to con you out of things you hold dear-- money, prosperity, freedom... and a few other things, as well.
I'm keeping a running file ( always updated ) on this fraud and scandal:
"Hadley CRU has apparently been hacked [epic fraud?]"

LOL! All it needs is that audio of Gore going on like a black preacher, “...the glory of the Lord will be revealed...”
One of our compatriots at our Canadian sister site has dubbed him "L. Ron Whore," nicely slandering Gore, Scientology, and workin' gals...
The EPA needs to be investigated, I hope he goes there!
Healthcare scam is a killer but this crap and trade is the death sentence for us all.
I live within the confines of a 27 square mile "Superfund Box" which is more or less governed by the EPA. This Hydra needs to have all its heads removed and separated at great distance from the remaining carcass.
He likely hasn't heard of Climategate.

Sometimes it’s best for members of the U.S. Congress to keep their mouths shut about any particular hot topic. I certainly appreciate their individual and collective silence on Climategate.
I, for one, have enjoyed hearing from individuals around the world who are not politicians. Some of them are earthy scientists, others stats-men, and many individs. of unknown training/occupations/etc..—it’s been quite good.
Off to Twitterville I go...
