Dem senator: Americans who don’t want KSM tried in civilian court can “go somewhere else”

A new one from CNS featuring Kent Conrad, who’ll be spared a “worst person in the world” award on Olbermann’s show for this bit o’ demagoguery solely by virtue of his party affiliation. Consider this a sequel to Lindsey Graham’s grilling of Holder last week: In both cases, we’ve got a Democrat who’s (a) absolutely confident that civilian trials are the way to go and (b) plainly unprepared to address the rather significant constitutional implications of his preference. The search warrant question here is bait but the underlying point isn’t:

FrumForum interviewed former FBI and CIA agents to get their views on the Obama administration’s explanation on why a federal trial should be held…

Unless Holder and Obama have a crystal ball, they cannot predict how the judge will rule on evidentiary or constitutional issues. In fact, a former CIA official was sure that the defense attorneys will try to change the focus of the trial from KSM’s atrocities to his confession coerced by the harsh interrogation techniques. He and others interviewed used the phrase “the fruit of the poisonous tree,” referring to the doctrine whereby some evidence may be declared inadmissible. He further declared that “I am worried about a civilian judge because if that confession is thrown out the rest of the evidence will be as well. Will the judge allow this nonsense into the courtroom?”

Is it possible, as Holder has stated, that “classified evidence can be protected?” Unanimously, all felt that revealing classified evidence will put America’s national security at greater risk. A CIA operative was very emphatic that “we were able to track and eventually kill the bad guys through means that have not yet been revealed and we’d like to keep it that way.

Since, like his other anti-American left wing scum, Kent Conrad, is a left wing pro Terrorist and anti human, he should be the Royal in the Royal 100 Club to leave and not “We The People” who placed him there and pay him his $8,000,000.00 + for his one year of not working for the people and the Constitution.

When is Kent Conrad up for re-election? Why aren’t there Republican senators from a red state such as North Dakota?

I will never understand the decision to try KSM and the others in civilian court. There’s a long body of international law and our own court decisions that war crimes are to be tried by military tribunal. These guys were involved in committing an act of war, and are not American citizens. They are enemy combatants, or whatever the politically correct term for that status is now.

Obama himself has sometimes talked of the Nuremburg trials as a model of how war criminals should be tried. Does the president know that the Nuremburg trials were a military tribunal?

Public opinion has deserted the president on this particular issue. The main supporters of the civilian trials are those who are very very liberal. The Daily Kos/Huffington Post/ Upper West Side crowd are the only ones who think we need to bend over backwards, to prove to people like Bin Laden that America is living up to some pie in the sky ideals.

What amazes me in all this stoopidity from the Dimocrats is that their most Junior of Senators, the “esteemed” Stuart Smalley, has been silent as a monk.

Isn’t it about time ol’ Franken-stein showed us why he won such a large plurality of the votes from Minnie-soda???

These are evil, selfish prix and WE have let them take over this country because WE do not engage nearly enough politically! It's so simple I could spit. If we allow standards to be reduced then this country will suffer the consequences it is now starting to see.

There is no question conservatives let their guard down.

Dissent is patriotic.

It used to be when one of Obama's czars wrote this book. Now, it's considered treason.

Naturally a Democrat Senator would think that way, it's in his blood. But wouldn't it be a good idea to toss Holder and his fellow travelers out of the country they hate so much?

Congressmen who don’t represent their people will be out looking for a new job. That would be a good way for them to find out what sort of job market they have created for us.

My gosh, I sound like Glenn Beck with the “deep breaths now”. We need all of you to be healthy, sharp and ready to fight. The time will come.

Cuz it ain’t a red state. Farm subsidies ring a bell? North Dakota’s been bought and paid for.

Every one of these turkey’s deserves being ousted from public office. They aren’t servants any more.

I’d take 535 people out of the phone book.
