Two things abut this story I learned today:

The guy that was beaten up was not even a protester with the Tea Party group, he was just there trying to sell some stuff.

And the second is that a local news reporter was charged with interfering with a police officer and he says his newspaper will fight for him, after the charges were filed.

Three months.........these prosecutors were dragged kicking and screaming into this. Look for a half-hearted prosecution.

This is just disgusting.

Then he should do what a liberal would do, hire an ambulance chaser and file a civil lawsuit.

That's freaky.

I sent an email to the prosecutor today with questions regarding when charges would be filed.

If Gladney files a civil suit against the thugs, this should strengthen his case.

Meanwhile.......

Amal Abusumayah said she was shopping at a Tinley Park store when Valerie Kenney made a loud reference to the shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, then later tugged her head scarf from behind at the checkout counter. (Tribune photo by David Pierini / November 14, 2009)

A suburban Chicago woman has been charged with a hate crime for allegedly yanking the head scarf of a Muslim woman in Tinley Park two days after the shootings at Fort Hood, Texas.

Valerie Kenney, 54, a bank teller from Tinley Park, appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse on Wednesday and was released on $5,000 bail. If convicted of the felony, Kenney faces up to 3 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. She is due back in court Dec. 3.

Judging from the "artful" photo of the "victim," it looks like she is planning a career as a Muslim Victims United spokeswoman.

‘Bout time. Now how about the Philly black panthers?
++++++++++++++++

That would be Holder's Department of Injustice. Gladney’s misdemeanor charges are happening in “the St. Louis County counselor’s office, which prosecutes misdemeanor ordinance violations in unincorporated areas.”

Of course it should!

How is this not a federal hate crime? They assaulted him for political beliefs AND called him the N-word.

The woman had no business yanking the scarf but this was no hate crime and certainly not a felony. The case has been overcharged and the prosecutor should be publicly scolded by the court.

“HATE CRIME”

This is the way we lose our freedom as a people.

Yet no one is charged with a hate crime in New York City when the Muzzies rail agianst America, and shout violant anti American slogans, and shove pedestrians around.?

Feels great , huh?

To the contrary, I think he should fight back and a good way to do that is with a civil suit. Unless and until these swine are made to feel some pain in the pocketbook, they’ll keep it up. In fact, I would be in favor of a suit against SEIU, not just the thugs as individuals.

We should also have an increased presence at elections and town halls.

The woman's remark wasn't even directed at the woman. She apparently made a general comment in the store. Or, if it was directed at the woman, it wasn't said with the pulling of the head scarf.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Amal Abusumayah, 28, told police she was shopping at a Tinley Park grocery store Nov. 7 when a middle-age woman passed her in the aisle and made a loud reference to the killings at Fort Hood.
"She said, 'The man that did that shooting in Texas was from the Middle East,' in a really loud and angry voice," Abusumayah told the Tribune last week.
Minutes later, while Abusumayah was paying for her groceries at a self-checkout, the woman approached her from behind and tugged hard on her blue and beige head scarf, she said.
"I turned around and looked at her, and she walked out of the store," she said. "My scarf didn't come off because it was on very tight, but my head was tugged back."
Abusumayah, who was born in the United States and raised in Berwyn by Palestinian immigrants, followed the woman into the lot and called police, who arrested Kenney within minutes.
