I guess the SEALs haven't paid enough in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I have no words to describe what I feel.

So much seems to happen every day now
that only a few years ago would have been unthinkable.
I find I am not shocked or amazed by anything anymore.
I fear that I am growing numb to it all.

This is so unspeakably vile that it beggars the imagination. It makes mockery of all that is decent. God speed the Day of Reckoning with these filthy Communist bastards - despite the terrible cost.

From the article, you'll notice that the Navy and Iraqi lawyers are staging a little dog and pony show. "...the detainee was turned over to Iraqi authorities, to whom he made the abuse complaints. He was then returned to American custody."
Even the pretense of prosecuting the SEALs for the war criminal PW's accusation about a bloody lip is wrong. The publicity will come back to bite the Iraqi government and nitpicking lawyers in general.

Between this event and Gen. Casey’s supplication at the altar of “diversity”, the rot is clear.
The key thing for all of us to not be demoralized by the depth of decay we see in this government.
Because if it is going to change, we are going to have to change it, and that won’t happen if we have given up from the all day every day assault on everything we hold dear.
And I hereby publicly rescind my assertion over the years that there would be no civil war 2 in this country.
I believe it is now inevitable.

As I posted before, I can’t imagine why anyone would stay in the teams knowing that their chain of command looks for ways to do them in. Frogmen aren’t quitters but there comes a time when going to jail for doing the job is just dumb. When Clinton started cooperating with our enemies and telling them who the intel operators were, many got out ASAP. It isn’t about quitting, it is about prudence.

I understand how you feel. There are no words, just disgust and a very, heavy heart. :(

Such arrogance and misdirected indignation will come to no good end for those bringing charges against these SEALs. It's only because men like these SEALs PERMIT these things to happen, that they even happen. They have enough restraint and discipline to struggle through this sort of bullshit and IF those who are meddling with them knew this, they would keep a wide berth around them.
If men like our SEALs and others like them ever decide that enough is enough, nobody in this nation is going to be happy; least of all the criminals in D.C.
Many of us here know the value in bringing in criminals alive. But this incident gives good logic to just having an "oopsie" during the OP where the perp commits suicide during retrieval.
