A lawyer for one of the five men facing trial for the Sept. 11 attacks says the men plan to plead not guilty and use the trial venue to express their political views.
Attorney Scott Fenstermaker said his client Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali and the others will not deny their role in the 2001 attacks but will tell the jury "why they did it."
He said that the men will explain "their assessment of American foreign policy."
Fenstermaker met with Ali last week at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has not spoken with the others but said the men have discussed the trial among themselves.
The Justice Department announced earlier this month that the men would face a civilian federal trial in a New York City courthouse. The department did not immediately respond to a call seeking comment.

Between Holder’s and Obama’s commentaries predicting the results of the so-called trial, and the terrorists expected song and dance act to their Muslim Brotherhood on the jury, there can be no doubt the act of moving these Terrorist enemies of America to NYC for trial was premeditated.
This one act by Obama may do more to destroy his Presidency than any other act...taxes, socialized medicine, losing Afghanistan...
Putting these animals out there to mock the US after what they did, will be Obama’s legacy and destroy him politically.
While on the soapbox, KSM will try to garner financial support for jihadists by doing promo spots for Sham-WOW, Slappy, and GEICO.
How nice of us to allow him to do this... It’s nothing new though. We’ve seen the protesters on the corners in NY, in fact, that have said they will use our freedoms against us. Makes me sick though. This man should be tried in a military court.

New York City, and America, will be held hostage for however many months it takes this circus to play out. The only good that could come out of this travesty is the scales may finally fall from the eyes of the American people, as they see the enemy more clearly and understand the nature of this “president” who would enable, and even bless, this humiliation of our country.
I believe we have already passed the point at which the internal divisions of our country can be resolved "peacefully".
I wonder how long it will take the liberals and Democrats to get sick of this and finally see the truth? I wonder if most of the US Democrats are smart and patriotic enough to stop this insanity?

This could backfire on Obama and his minions. A lot of the US think we did nothing to deserve 9/11, and that these vicious terrorists should fry for what they did—not pontificate.
Not in my family they won’t. I confronted some of them about the socialist takeover a while back...their response...”look where capitalism got us...it’s time for CHANGE”. They know EXACTLY what is going on, welcome it, and some have worked diligently with the unions to further single payer health care. I’m 52, I’ve known these people my whole life, and suddenly feel like I’m on the set of “V”. I don’t know my own family any more and it sickens me. So in many cases, we don’t need to point out to them the horrors we see coming down the pike, they already are aware. What we dread, they are welcoming with open arms. This change is what they want.
