0bama is nothing without Bush

I'm watching Fox News Sunday and it suddenly occurs to me that 0bama is NOTHING without Bush. Everything 0bama does is juxtaposed against Bush. If Bush didn't exist, nothing 0bama has said/done would have standing.

he is an ignorant boob without a plan, so he just tries to do the opposite of everything Bush did, thinking that since Bush's poll numbers were so low, doing everything the opposite of him MUST make him super good !

What was never properly exposed about Bush's low poll numbers is that the questions didn't reflect a consensus about WHY people disliked what Bush did. For instance, take the Iraq war. I was polled MANY times about Bush's handling of the war... and I was forced to say I was dissatisfied with how Bush was handling it because that was the only available response. But here is the problem I was dissatisfied because I wanted Bush to make a glass parking lot out of Fallujah, not because like the liberals I thought we shouldn't be there. My issue was I wanted Bush to do MORE in Iraq! But the question only allowed me to either express approval or disapproval of his Iraq policy.

Great points. 0bama needs Bush as a foil, as a prop, as a straw man, to say to people that he’s not Bush, he’s cleaning up messes and all this other crapola we hear from 00bama.

At what point does he not get to blame Bush for all his troubles? He’s 10+ months in to his term now. At what point does a serious executive take responsibility for what he’s doing to solve all the alleged problems he inherited?

Bush had a huge issue called Sept. 11th dropped on him early in his term. I don’t recall him ever complaining about it. I don’t recall Bush ever talking about how many of the issues surrounding the leading up to Sept. 11th happened when Bill Clinton president, and how Clinton did not respond effectively to all the terrorist attacks against Americans overseas during the ‘90s. I can’t recall Bush blaming Clinton policies for setting the stage for Sept. 11th.

0bama complains too much, apologizes for America too much. All these apologies and dithering are perceived as a sign of weakness by our enemies in the “overseas contingency operation”.

Ever since the beginning of time people have been pooled together to fight a common enemy or interest and that is what the media promoted. Now the enemy and absolute failure is Obama.

Obama failings and relationships have to be exposed so even uncle ned way in the back of the north 80 in blue sky country is aware.

or should I say Sheik Ibn Hussein osammaObamma?

Listening to NPR radio this morning, the big interview segment was about Iran-Contra.

Kinda like a corner to hide in. But that corner is getting smaller every day. Soon there will be nowhere to run to, no place to hide.

The Left, and that is what the Democrats and the MSM are, always needs a foil. To the USSR and China we were always an immediate threat from whom their subjects needed protection. So no matter how bad things were at home at least they should appreciate they were being protected from a much worse fate, the USA.

Because their ideas are unacceptable to thinking people, the Left must lie and the MSM must help them if they are to succeed.

Sorry I strayed from the point but I at least included it.

:-)

Immediately after 9/11 and Bush’s response to it, his approval rating was extremely high, something like 70% - 90%. James Carville said that if the Democrats were to have a chance they could not let that stand. Accordingly, for eight years Bush was bashed and demonized unmercifully, to the point that it became “anyone but Bush” and his approval ratings continuously dropped.

Part of that was because of what TexasFreeper2009 says, too few choices and too little detail in the polls conducted, mostly by the MSM. We know they are notorious for rigging polls either through the phrasing of the questions or by being selective about the mix of those they polled.

Many conservatives did not like Bush’s positions on No Child Left Behind, the addition of prescription drugs to Medicare, and illegal aliens. As evidenced by a valiant early effort to reform and save SS Bush and Rove decided that cutting long standing government programs was politically impossible at the moment so they opted instead to try to make them more workable.

Regardless, polls on these subjects often included the answers from political opposites as the same answer without noting they were for different reasons. Bush’s numbers plummeted as expected.

So, the Democrats ran against Bush for eight years, often lying about his positions and what he was doing. Bush stubbornly refused to defend himself and his opinions, preferring to go along to get along and letting history sort it out.

As a result, the Democrats and MSM, the Left, strolled to victory in 2006 and 2008.

I am a Bush fan and can defend most of the things he did but I think he did us all a disservice by not defending what he was doing and why. In other words, he did not defend us and our ideas either. It is fine for him to let history judge him but the rest of us went down the drain with him.
