Why Isn’t He Better at Being President?
Commentary Magazine ^ | November 17, 2009 | Jenifer Rubin

Obama was the subject of many a pundit’s admiration. So smart! So worldly! Harvard Law Review. And so eloquent. That his speeches upon further reflection were practically unintelligible or self-parodies (are we the ones we have been waiting for? are the oceans really going to recede?) didn’t much matter. He was so smart.

I'd disagree wit Jennifer. I think, so far, the Illegal Alien has been very good at being the kind of president he wants to be, a bitterly anti-Amreican communist and secret Mudslime out to do as much damage as he can to this country in as short a time as possible.

“being the kind of president he wants to be”

The Kenyan Impostor has completely failed. America is catching on that it elected a gansta rapper.

I'm really baffled by the claims that he's smart. Seriously -- I'm not being snide and saying "all Democrats are dumb" or anything like that. But I'm trying to really see why so many people (even conservative talk radio hosts) say that Obama is brilliant.

We haven't seen his college transcripts.
He wrote some books, but it appears that William Ayers really wrote them.
He reads speeches well, but (like every politician) has professionals write them.
Speaking extemporaneously, he is less than impressive (to me).
He makes a lot of gaffes (57 states, 10,000 killed in a KS tornado, etc.)

Seriously -- why do so many people think he's brilliant? Where is the evidence?

His main successes in life seem to be riding/using ‘the system’, maintaining an aura of success through words not backed by action, and hiding most of what remains. These are not qualities that yield good results when it comes to ‘nuts and bolts’ functionality and assessment of reality. Delusional self centered ideologues cannot, by their very nature, be good leaders. Good leeches and useful tools to a few are always going to be detrimental to the common good.

And he has accomplished a LOT in a very short while. Banks, automotive industry and soon to be the medical industry in his first year. He has passed spending bills in his first 6 months that quadrupled what any other president has spent in two terms.

He has humiliated the USA at every chance, and has rewarded his cronies in Chicago; he's using Cap and Trade to remove our sovernity. I'm honestly afraid that he will be the last ELECTED president the US has. Most dictators are elected into office, and then stay there for life - he's given every indication who his ‘heroes’ are. He has surrounded himself with Communist radicals.

Radicals do not want to CHANGE anything, they want to destroy the existing system, and then substitute the system they want when the old one collapses. It's easier than gradually affecting change - just destroy the existing system. And Obama has done much to destroy our culture, our economics and our sovernity.

He can’t do it because for the first time in his life he has to be accountable for what he says and does. That’s a totally novel concept for him. “O” is under the microscope and can’t function.

He has NO experience or fitness to recommend him to the position he ‘occupies’... and that is ALL he’s doing... just warming the bench.

The trouble with our liberal friends isn’t that they are ignorant; it is that they know so much that isn’t so - Ronald Reagan

My new tag. (Unfortunately, there isn't enough room for proper attribution.)

Yes, I also think this boy’s actions are an intentional middle finger to traditional patriotic Americans.

Yes, in order to be a “good president” or a good leader of any entity,

you first have to have a respect for that entity, not antipathy.

Uhhh, because all the accolades he had gotten were total BS—he’s the proverbial house built on sand.

Now that he HAS to perform in front of everyone-everyone can see what’s up—it’s kind of like the Wizard of Oz being exposed (except the Wiz, while a BS artist like BO, wasn’t all that bad of a guy in the end)

I wish the BO voters would be the only ones hurt by their stupidity—too bad the rest of us, and our country must suffer.

You can put whipped cream on a dog turd and call it chocolate cake—but I ain’t having any of it.

Enjoy your Kenyan Muslim Anti-American, nonperforming dog turd with whipped cream, libtards. Keep pretending it’s cake—mmmmmmm! Yummy, isn’t it?

Up until now the toughest decision he has ever had to make is “paper or plastic?”.

Affirmative action. It enables the lackluster to get much further than they would if competing on a level playing field and - as we are now seeing - is very dangerous.

I went to Columbia three years longer than Obama did, and graduated the year before him. Can I be president next?

In the UK coverage of what turned out to be Obama's electoral win, one pundit - I don't know who - said

"You cheer him now. But in twelve months time he'll be the most hated man in America."

I think Obama is right on course for fulfilling this prediction.

I agree. I think he wants to push his agenda and get as much done as he can in 4 years and doesn’t worry about re-election. He can play golf more after the WH. He’s set for life already.

“I’m really baffled by the claims that he’s smart.”

Intelligence is clearly measured by how many ‘uh’s you can fit into one sentence.

In those terms, he’s a freaking genius.

That was always one of my favorite Reagan quotes, though today the liberals are not our “friends”, but instead virulent, increasingly psychotic enemies.

First off, he is an @hole. If any other candidate had said some of the outrageous things he said during the campaign, the media would have torn them apart.

He is nothing but a media created totus. I hope the people of the US will wake up and take notice of what he has done to destroy this country.

King obuma is well on his way to achieving one of Lincoln’s most dubious achievements: Becoming the most hated man of his time.
