CDC: 3,900 Americans Dead From H1N1 in Six Months

H1N1 swine flu killed an estimated 3,900 Americans from April to October, U.S. health officials said Thursday.

Better estimates show that the pandemic of flu has infected an estimated 22 million Americans and put 98,000 in the hospital, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Of these totals, children account for 8 million of the infected, 36,000 of those in hospital and 540 deaths.

I had H1N! coupled with double pneumonia. I went into ICU Oct 21st ... 2 days after my wife passed away. I came VERY close to joining her ... lord knows I wanted to.

In the beginning the CDC was reluctant to the point of advising against laying a case, even a mortality directly at the H1N1 stoop if there were underlying existing conditions; now it seems, they have just reversed that position and instead are willing to blame deaths on H1N1 even when the secondary condition merely coexisted with the suspected infection with the virus.

Turns out to be a quadrupling of previous estimates and still no requirement for positive diagnosis.

There’s magic in them there numbers.

Yep, I was in ICU on a ventilator for over a week. Just now recovering somewhat. Had double pneumonia with it, too.

Glad you are okay but sorry for your loss.

Actually Mrs Clamper died of MRSA which got into her blood stream and destroyed her liver in 19 days. She was 39.

I don't know if it was the H1N1 or the pneumonia that almost got me. My BP dropped to 70 over 30 and my kidneys failed. I know that in my 58 years I've NEVER been more ill. I was in ICU isolation for 4 days ... couldn't even have visitors. Friends and family took care of the arrangements for my wife.

Doesn’t 40,000 die from the normal flu every year anyway? H1N1 is just another attempt to scare the people and distract them the fact that the Communists are trying to take over healthcare and control the country.
