Romney Strikes Again: Pushes "Gay & Transgender Rights" Ordinance in Salt Lake City

When we heard the news that the city council in Salt Lake City just approved a "gay rights" ordinance (covering both "sexual orientation" and "gender identity"), we knew in our gut that Mitt Romney was behind it. Remember, he's running for President in 2012. He wouldn't want to appear a "bigot".

Sure enough... A homosexual blog connected to an anti-Mormon documentary ("8: The Mormon Proposition") on the Proposition 8 defeat of "gay marriage" in California posted this: Sources close to those who called our cast and production team alerting us to the upcoming Mormon statement on discrimination say that Mormon Mitt Romney has recently put pressure on his own church to extend an olive branch to the gay community to try and deflate the anticipated negative press that will come from the release of 8: THE MORMON PROPOSITION that would likely damage his hope for a successful 2012 presidential bid.



Ironically (and we suspect in step with the Mormon's anticipated statement on discrimination) Mormon-owned KSL TV released an article on their web site saying "Romney appears to be front-runner in 2012 election."

My objection to this sort of ordinance is not that it has anything to do with gays, but rather that they are anit-freedom and tyrannical.

Why can’t someone decide to hire based on whatever criteria they choose? Why can’t someone decide to rent their property to someone on any criteria they choose?

We used to celebrate this thing called “freedom of association” in this country.

But of course that is directly tied to property rights and we can’t have property rights as those are the bedrock of freedom.

I think Romney's numerous pro-gay stances may be why the MSM is so high on Romney.

The MSM has been largely infiltrated by gays and they see Romney as about as very Pro-Gay.

The Mormon Church is not likely to be pressured by a politician with political ambitions. If they make a mistake, they make it on their own, through their own appointed leadership.

Didn’t the last election kind of settle that question? Our eventual nominee was John McCain, and Romney still couldn’t win the nomination.

IN a sane world, nobody involved in the 2008 campaign would be considered for 2012. If they couldn’t keep us from nominating John McCain last time, why should we waste our time listening to them this time?
