It depends. I have seen a number of briefings that are intentionally provacative in order to get you to understand how the other side thinks. If you look at slide 2 (objectives), the rest of the briefing is consistent with those. Remember, this is a bunch of psychiatrists, so they were probably bending over backwards to be open minded to begin with.
“[He] was supposed to discuss a medical topic during a presentation to senior Army doctors in June 2007. Instead, he lectured on Islam, suicide bombers... “
June 2007... Over two years ago...
How about we agree to #50, and in return ban Muslims completely from the military and vow not to spend 6-figures on the education of a traitorous murdering terrorist? I’m down with that.
see slide #50
yes
“Department of Defense should allow Muslim soldiers the option of being released as “Conscientious objectors” to increase troop morale and decrease adverse events.”
absolutely
in fact the DoD should encourage Muslim soldier to be released...or reassigned to non-combat positions....
its a “no-brainer”
too bad he was not released...he was reassigned to Ft Hood, and then ordered to deploy...
not excusing him in any way,
but too bad the army kept him, and then said “you go to the front” (oh and i know he would be in a non-combat rear arena)
there is a basic conflict of religion and purpose when we are engaged against Islamic fanatics and we have Muslim soldiers
who would ever want a Muslim on your 6 when engaged in this fight?
I watched this. Beyond the sickening content it was completely disorganized and unprofessional. How they could have let someone with this kind of mind practice medicine, psychiatry for god’s sake is beyond me.
Maybe psychiatry really is a big hoax and they’re all nuts.
This was in the WAPO ??????????
check this out
And we all remember the problem we had during World War 2 because American Lutherans did not want to fight in Germany and American Catholics did not want to fight in Italy.

How the heck does Lew Alcindor/Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s name become involved?

This guy a Laker fan?
For those without Flash (slides 43, 49 & 50): |
Last night on Fox, an officer who was in this training class described the more senior student officers present as being very concerned about this briefing. It was NOT perceived as an "informational" public health briefing, rather an attestment about Islam and what it meant to Major Hasan. Academic-freedom aside, many of the other comments by Hasan throughout the course also threw up Red Flags to classmates. And yet, because of the tolerant, Politically-Correct corporate culture the military is forced to swallow, reportedly NO ONE alerted officials up the food chain about Hasan. |
ahem who was making a timeline of hasan?
If people want on or off this list, please let me know.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

An interesting powerpoint, but relevant only in the context of Hassan's narration. Daniel Pipes would use these slides to present a powerful condemnation of radical Islam. I'm thinking that wasn't Hassan's message.
