Cameras on utility polls. Cameras on the corners of buildings. Cameras following you as you walk through town, a college campus, or your own neighborhood.

I don’t know which is more difficult to get my brain around: Boortz agreeing with cameras or writing for the AJC.

The government doesn’t own all public space. The public does.

England is the most surveilled country in the world and crime is rampant.
Police have essentially evolved into “responders after the fact” and providers of “obedience training” for law abiding citizens.
Trust me - these cameras will be used more for tax enforcement and smoking violations than preventing rapes and muggings.
They are a natural result of our willingness to lie without reservation.

The cameras don't prevent crime or keep Americans safe from Al Queda. They are another assault on our inalienable rights. It's just a reminder that, whatever you do, big brother government is watching.
