Get her back to court where she can get some rest.
A hearty chuckle.
Thanks.
At her age should we be spending valuable medical resources? Oh, that’s right, she works for the government so it’s okay.
Sounds like a minor stroke. I’m not a doctor or play one on TV, but I’ve a lot of experience with these. To be expected at her age.
She probably took a drink with the medication that she used to fall asleep..Poor democrats they can’t stay on their feet...
She’s not in very good shape for being only 76...I’d have pegged her as closer to 85.
If she managed to fall out of her seat, she must have been flying first class!
Hang in there Ruthie . . . better she stay on the bench than be replaced by a younger lefty . . .
It’s a good thing she got better before healthcare reform. She is pretty old, you know. She’s not as useful as the younger judges.
She has cancer. No word on exactly how that is going, but it must be especially hard on one of her age.
She has cancer.
She was released after FALL but it’ll be 5 months before she can SPRING back!
While I disagree vehemently with her politics, I hope she gets better soon.
That way, in a couple of years, she can retire, and our newly-elected conservative President can appoint someone to the court who will actually follow the constitution instead of just making things up as they go along.
Then she should hurry and get the care she needs now. The future of healthcare does not hold much hope for cancer patients.
AND she’s a far Lefty, former attorney for the ACLU.
Guys, I honestly want her to stay healthy and on the active Court.
Her replacement, via 0bama, will have decades of time in her seat. If she can stay on a few more years, that would be wonderful.
Dec 22nd?
She is being treated for pancreatic cancer.
No joking matter.
maybe she was leaning too far to the left?
Tough sh*t. I have lost my ability to display compassion for those who have lost their ability to view me as an equal. Tell her to redistribute both her health and wealth for the cause. What we really need is another ethnically wise judge. Since we hit the hispanic penatta what ethnicity is next? Hmmmm?
Yeah, I hope she survives thru Nilbama’s administration, but I doubt she will do so.
The next judge will be a muslim if Obama has his way - then you’ll see advocation of Sharia law...please, Lord, keep all our justices alive for the next 3 1/2 years!
ahahahaha!
Can you imagine!?
She’s 76? I’m shocked. I agree, she looks much older.
A report today in the NEJM questions the benefits of dialysis in nursing home patients and an FDA warning letter to the makers of Nyquil with Vitamin C added was reported as well; looks like the building blocks are being laid for the erection of the Death Panel...
I would never want to be considered an equal to any of the trash passing themselves off as the arbiters of free speech.
What is her Q.A.R.Y.? Quality-Adjusted Remaining Years
QARY = Quality Adjusted Remaining Years
This is apart of the formula which will be used to mandate to doctors when and on who certain procedures will be allowed and when a person does not have enough “good “ years left inthem to make it worthwhile.
This will be determined by a Value Judgement of Health Board. See pagers 425-430 of HC 3200.
This is wrong on so many levels I do not even know where to begin. Ethically, who is anyone to say, how many good years I have left in me. This is a dangerous path that will backfire in a horrible way. Who in their right mind with anysort of heart at all would even want to be on the Value Judgement Board?
This is not even socialism, this is progressivism with a hint of Marxism....population control and eugenics is not quite what most are bargaining for but anyone who reads in full context the Bill will see it. They are counting on you NOT to read it.
You do not even need to read the entire thing to see that life is not precious to the writers of this bill. It comes down to money and power. My family’s lives are worth more than what the government thinks they will save in healthcare. Having choices made by my doctor and myself about what is best for them is worth what I pay in insurance costs. Me paying for someone elses healthcare will not do anything but decrease the quality of care for myself and my family. And the farce that healthcare will be better for those who cant afford it is beyond the pale. I would like to see this so called long list of the poor who do not have access to healthcare. Where I have worked no one is ever turned away or denied services. I would like specific stories please.
And if they will consider how many good remaining years an older sick person has left...might they also need to consider how many good years a baby has left before they abort it.

BUMP
No joking matter.
A virtual death sentence. I hate her politics too, but wouldn't wish that on anyone.
She’s had a procedure called a Whipple. It’s the chemo and radiation after that is so very debilitating.
That she continues to work is amazing.
She is in an incredibly weakened condition.
“The future of healthcare does not hold much hope for cancer patients”
I agree with you. However, she has the federal employees healthcare, just like the legislative and executive branches. All such people will be exempt from what everybody else is to be forced on.
In any lawsuit...and I think they are being planned as we speak...a major issue must be that these people have set up their own plan and it’s a cadillac for sure, but they have relegated everyone else to the dregs and even threaten fines and jail for who dares to disobey.
